Restaurant Le Breilh - Hôtel — Restaurant in Foix

We did not stay in the hotel. Just stopped in on Sunday for a lunch. They menu a mixed platter for 2 at $ 33E( I think). It actually is a fantastic concept. A whole bunch of small jars arrive on a wooden platter. You get bread and pate, and then a lot of these jars to open. Unfortunately, they aren't very good. Mussels are in a mayo sauce, just ok. Snails are in a parsley/ garlic mix with NO taste of garlic at all. Just VERY small pcs of sausage( chorizo I think), and then a jar of ok marmalade?, horrible small green peppers of some kind( maybe jalapeños w/o the heat?) , a relish of no taste w/ corn and peppers? Or zucchini? Fabulous fried zucchini blossoms(2). I might be missing something. But we left hungry. The host spoke English & the menu was in English- much appreciated. We didn't feel too snubbed( being Americans that is!) decent vino and beer. Nice to sit outside in the sun, spring has arrived here !!! But We won't...

We were 2 x couples travelling together, both couples are experienced resort managers in Noosa Heads, Australia.||This would have to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It is well located in the center of town and is deceptively attractive from the outside.||Internally however is a different story. The rooms were extremely small and very shabby and not very clean, there was not any space to put luggage unless you climbed over the bed to get around. The bathroom was tiny with a swinging half door like a saloon bar. There was free wi fi advertised but we were told it only worked in the breakfast room however we only managed to connect on...
