Amour Café — Restaurant in Grasse

DO NOT EAT HERE. We sat down and ordered our food which was taken and put into the system pretty quickly (we were told within about 15 minutes, was closer to 30. They kept apologizing for the wait and we were trying to be polite and say it was alright, however it dragged on for an unacceptable amount of time, of course we were frustrated). After that, they saw we were American and the service was unacceptable. They forgot more than half our order and had to keep asking what we had ordered (after writing it down) and when we saw the food and drinks, we almost laughed because they were less than worth the cost. There were four people working and at time and at times people were just standing around (not on breaks) and nothing was being made or prepared after we had already ordered and were waiting for our food. They didn’t bring us drinks for almost a hour and only half the food came out and we had to wait another 30-45 minutes for the rest of our party’s food to come out. For breakfast, we were sitting for TWO HOURS which is absolutely ridiculous. They tried to comp us with a free cookie split into eight pieces for five of us which was absolutely comedic. Amour Café is leaps and bounds the best coffee spot in town. This is a combination of the composition of the food, the quality of the coffee, the serene atmosphere, and the phenomenal owners personalities.

The owners are very nice even lending me their phone to look up things and check the menu. They were able to help me understand the menu and even how to get it to work on my phone.

The coffee was fantastic. It was served beautifully and tasted fantastic. The quality of the roast was noticed and the serving was done fantastically.

The avocado toast was also delicious, not ruined by any additional elements it was just simple sliced avocado, some seeds, and bread. It was delicious and just the right portion for a morning snack.

Extremely rude and unwelcoming behavior

I had been sitting in the café for about an hour with two purchased drinks when the manager approached me and told me I should leave if I wasn't going to order lunch. The café was completely empty, so this comment came off as both unnecessary and hostile.

I was a paying customer, quietly enjoying my time without occupying space needed by others. Being pressured to leave under those circumstances is not only unprofessional – it's downright rude.

If this is how they treat their guests, I have no intention of ever...
