The restaurant is its own building and the staff actually came outside to greet us. Perhaps it was because we were first to arrive, but it was a great start. The chairs are very comfortable and there’s plenty of space. There is a water fountain outside, and with the sliding doors open to the back, gives it a very relaxing ambience. We had the extended chefs menu with the wine supplement. The courses were excellent. Each plate was its own little adventure. The chef is talented no doubt. The only issue I had with the experience was the value. I had ordered three bottles of Still water, one extra glass of dessert wine, and two shots of espresso. Those extras came to about €65. I don’t understand why a restaurant like this has to gouge its patrons on water at €8 a bottle. Is that an 800% markup? Bill was €406 for two. It’s a meal/experience for the affluent or for a very special occasion which ours was. Again, kudos to the chef who came out to greet us at the end of our meal. Would definitely recommend Bessem but I was a little disappointed in the charges...
Read moreAn oasis with outstanding food and service outside of the crazy inner city of Cannes. This place is in the Michelin guide but doesnt have a star yet. It should. I have been to several michelin starred restaurants that were very nice but don't even come close to the quality and invention in food, the perfection of service and the peaceful setting of Bessem. The garden setting is unbelievably calming, the tasting menu has multiple courses that are truly outstanding, the wine pairings were inventive and perfect with the food. The sommelier and waiting staff were attentive, warm and enthusiastic. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Far better than anything in...
Read moreThis Restaurant has a Michelin star and therefore should address the Michelin criteria like impeccable service and creativity in the food. Environment and atmosphere is nice. Amuse bouche were great. Starter disappointing: the aubergine caviar had nothing special. The rest was tasty. The service was bad and definitely not what you expect in a one star Michelin restaurant: literally we had to pur ourselves water and bread was missing and just served each time you got a new dish. So the price/ quality ratio was definitely not good for a one star...
