This lovely little campsite could be a real gem, if only âŠ. Quietly tucked away in a mainly residential area, it is one of the neatest and best laid-out campsites we have ever stayed at. It is very private & secure with mature pines, mimosas and other well-tended trees, with perfect roads and generous, level hard-standing pitches. The centre of Cannes is about an hour away if you walk to the bus stop and use public transport. Itâs an easy journey, itâs cheap, and itâs well worth it. There is a huge Geant supermarket just a few minutes away.||||Clearly, there has been a big investment in this campsite, but it falls seriously short where the toilet block is concerned. Perhaps the excellent first impressions highlighted the shortcomings of the toilet block, and it took us completely by surprise. The first thing to hit us was the dampness - the concrete structure must have been so cold that the ceiling was continuously dripping and the floors always wet. You couldnât even hang a dressing gown on a hook without it getting wet from the water streaming down the walls. It was strange on a site of this quality, that there is no soap, no toilet roll dispensers and no hand-drying facilities. The washing cubicles are badly lit, there are no shelves and few coat hooks. Some of the vanity basins are cracked and the worktops are too deep for easy use. I could go on, but letâs hope that the people who have made this site such a gem, will spend a little more and get their âsanitairesâ in shape sometime soon. It would make Les Cigales...
Read moreWe booked here for 3 nights as we were meeting friends along the coast. Great location, and a lovely walk along the river to the small beaches. Boat hire available. It's a city site, and whilst our pitch was fine, and the pool area with hammocks and sunbeds looked lovely, it's overlooked by apartments on one side and end. We have no issues with the pitches, but we found the staff to be the least friendly of all of the 8 sites we've stayed at on the trip so far. In fact, whilst one lady was perfectly 'efficient' rather than friendly, another was positively rude when we explained that the electric had tripped on the bank of 4 connections. She told us angrily 'not to touch!' and that despite being an electrician of 40+ years in the UK, she was insistent that there was no problem as it wasn't working (it was clearly an issue with the mains supply). We gave up and went out for the day having plugged into an alternative which was working, and on our return, it was fixed. I suspect our French neighbours may have received a warmer reception and the problem that she claimed wasn't one, was fixed in our absence. Location great, site fine, sanitaires excellent. Staff politeness let this site down. We wouldn't return, but if you use it for what it is,...
Read moreCamping RECOMMENDED with all my heart!! First of all I would like to express my positive thoughts to the management of this campsite, to Anais and her nice daughter Manu, also to all the team. I spent 6 days here with my family and friends and I really really had great time. The camping is very nice, with a lot of shadow, the pitches are very big, the toilets' very clean, inside of the camping the atmosphere is quite (the noise from the airplanes didn't bother at all), the birds noise is really relaxing, the swimming pool is amazing. The position of this camping is good for visiting the most important places from French Riviera as Monaco, Eze, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St. Tropez, Grasse. If you have bikes, that's great, go to Cannes by bike along the seaside! If you like fishing or kayaking, that's great too due the canal closed to the camping! Thx Manu for the bread and croissants that you've brought us every morning to our pitch, thx a lot for all your recommendation too about what to visit every day. Thx a lot to Anais too, this awesome woman with her gorgeous blue eyes, this woman didn't say "no" to my requests, she has always found a solution, the client to be satisfied. Greetings from Ramona! Greetings...
