We went for dinner forced one evening by the fact that La Piadina, our favourite place to eat in the area, was closed. We knew this bistro from before, when it was downstairs and we were disappointed by their food. It was the same this time, so we swore we'll never be back. From 2 different meals (a chicken burger and some gratin of pulled pork), neither was good. My burger had some mushy bread, which was disgusting. On half of it, it was some fried chicken, but I think the worst I ever had in my life, and on the other, some potato galette, which was just as bad and tasteless. The entire composition was bad. My boyfriend made the mistake of trying some new dish in their menu, this pulled pork gratin, which he ate only cause he was hungry, but had nothing to do with decent food. It tasted and looked absolutely abominable. Now the service. Our waiter seemed very off, not sure what happened, but he was just not capable of listening to us. We asked for water a few times, he brought it, but without cups to drink from, he was just very distracted. The only thing ok with this place is the view, but they have no merit for it whatsoever. The open umbrellas give you a sense of suffocating when the temperature crosses 24°. It was just awful and not...
Read moreThe reviews on this place are correct. I have been in several tourist traps in Nice but this place treats you with respect and provides excellent value for your money. The service was impeccable and attentive. The food was generous and well prepared. To be honest it is not Michelin star or anything but it is very well prepared comfort food like burgers, rigatoni, steaks, salads etc. The drinks are amazing too. From the minute we walked in we felt like welcomed and valued guests more than in any other restaurant in Nice. We were welcomed with drinks for the kids and for my wife and I before even ordering anything. There is no shock when you get the bill either ;)...
