The sauce graine and foutou were very good. Unfortunately when we called to reserve we asked if there was fish available and they told us there was plenty. The menu included “Poisson entier grillé” so we thought it was a sure bet. When we arrived we were told they had only fried fish and when we asked the waiter to check again with the cook, he said she refused to make the fish anyway other way except fried. I’ve eaten at the best West African restaurants in New York City and Paris— but Chez les Jumelles in Cannes beats them all. The chicken in peanut sauce, the sweet plantains caramelized & crisp, the cocktails are lovingly prepared. The condiments are perfect in their contrast of spiciness and full flavor. There is just the right amount of red palm oil. The hostess and chef (les patronnes) are welcoming and fun and they add a special touch from their native Ivory Coast. We can’t wait to come...

I have enjoyed every meal I ate at this restaurant it was hard to find the nearest restaurant along boulevard dela Republique. It was a nice to eat from as a Cannes festival goers willing to try different and African meals. The twins are flexible and caring.
