I am extremely upset by the rude and dismissive attitude of the man at reception at OKKO Hotel in Cannes on Monday, 7th of April, at around 1 Pm 2025! ||||I had just enjoyed a wonderful stay at a nearby 5-star hotel. The weather in Cannes was beautiful, and I decided to extend my holiday. Unfortunately, my original hotel was fully booked for the rest of the week due to a major conference. That’s when I came across OKKO Hotel and decided to inquire about availability.||||I approached the reception and politely asked if I could view a room before making a booking. The man at the front desk abruptly told me that it wasn’t possible and claimed there was no staff available to assist, even though I could clearly see other staff members present.||||What shocked me even more was his attitude—he looked at me with such contempt, as though I didn’t belong there. When I asked for his name, he refused to give it. I then asked to speak to his manager, and again he refused.||||I’ve travelled all over the world, and I’ve never been treated with such blatant disrespect. It was deeply upsetting and frankly disgraceful. I was left feeling ignored, belittled, and extremely hurt.||||Given the complete lack of professionalism and courtesy shown, I am left with no other explanation than to believe his behavior was racially motivated.||||There was no queue at the time, and the reception area was clearly quiet—there was absolutely no excuse for this kind of treatment.||||I sincerely hope that this complaint is taken seriously. No one should ever be made to feel the way I...

We stayed 4 nights, 5 days in here. This place is very unique and provided us with an amazing experience. I want to officially congratulate three staff, Aziz and Mendivil at front desk, Nancy our attentive and sweet housekeeping staff member, and Victor for keeping up such great energy every morning during breakfast tune. This hotel has great potential to improve and j just want to say keep up the good work. I’ve summarized our thoughts below:

PROS: -Extremely attentive and friendly staff. -Nice, modern room with comfortable bed and 100% (super) soundproof rooms. -Efficient use of the space. Beautiful lounge on the 6th floor with complementary (non alcoholic) drinks, coffee , snacks and bites at the terrace. AMAZING view while at the lounge or having breakfast let me repeat, the staff goes above and beyond to satisfy all of your requests. -LOCATION: 10 min walk from the beach, 5 min walk to all restaurants. Next to train station.

CONS: -The bed linen was too rough on my skin. It is a mix of organic cotton with linen. It is a matter of preference but I didn’t like it. The pillows were too soft (for me) so I couldn’t sleep for 3 days. My husband slept like a baby. -The room is small and everything feels tight if you have a lot of luggage. -No slippers or toiletries. Only soap and shampoo. -IMPORTANT: no mini fridge? And we really, really needed one! No closets? A bit off putting..

In any case, the things we liked are more and we would definitely...

On a positive note, the breakfast and break area were pleasant. Located on the sixth floor with a terrace, it offered a beautiful view of the city. However, the experience was overshadowed by other issues, including a clogged sink and shower.

My wife and I booked a three-night stay at Hotel Okko in Cannes, attracted by its central location and positive feedback. Unfortunately, our experience was severely compromised by two extremely negative incidents.

The first incident occurred at night, when we were awakened by noises at our room door around 1:30 AM. This caused us fear, and we couldn't immediately go back to sleep due to concerns about intruders. Initially, we thought the noises might be coming from the adjacent room, but the incident still disturbed our peace of mind.

The second incident was even more shocking: while we were changing in our room after breakfast, the door was forcefully opened without any prior notice by a hotel staff member and a technician. This intrusion into our privacy was unacceptable and left us with a deep sense of violation. There was no attempt to call our room or knock on the door before entering.

The staff member even doubted our reservation and treated us with suspicion, which further exacerbated the situation. Their only response was a "sorry" once they saw that our reservation was correct.

It is unacceptable for such situations to...

Wonderful Property & train station convenience make this a high-value gem in Cannes! Obviously, there are many high $ properties in Cannes, but the Okko presents a delightful and high-value option. After the inevitable flight delays, we arrived lates in Cannes via train from Nice. Having the Okko hotel just steps away from the Cannes train station after a long trip was priceless.... I was skeptical of the complimentary "le Club", however it is a delightful space with complimentary beverages, coffee, gourmet iced tea, and an very nice breakfast option (at additional $ cost). Not a "Continental" carb-based breakfast, but bacon, eggs, cheese, charcuterie, and more. The room is very clean, and the location also offers an easy and delightful walk to town and the waterfront. Tip: Check out the intersection of Rue Hoche and Rue Helene' Vagliano for a lively selection of cafe's and restaurants. So as not to be effusive, I will point out the odd configuration of the bathrooms; the shower head is in the middle of the bathroom, causing water to go everywhere. This is somewhat inconvenient and possibly dangerous, especially for elderly people. The semi see-through glass walls of the bathrooms is somewhat odd for an American, but I chalk up to French cultural preferences..... The front desk staff has been gracious and welcoming, and the hotel pricing makes it an excellent value. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel. Rooms are a little compact. There is no real space for your cases. The bathroom is an open view, so not to everyone's taste. Mixed messages about the terrace above we were told on check-in it was a home from home we were allowed to being our own food to eat up there and drink. The first night, we did and had no problems. Second night, we were told no, we couldn't drink our own alcohol and the third, they said no soft drinks either. So we didn't bother going again. Awful attitude from the lady in the restaurant who was constantly mumbling at us and making funny comments. We found her quite rude, so that was another reason we didn't go on the terrace again. In total contrast to her, Oliver, on reception, is the most charming and helpful guy. He is just so lovely. It's a great location for the train and the city. Its a shame about the druggies and drunks outside most of the day and night shouting and selling drugs openly, but suppose that's the crowd outside a train station. Police didn't seem to care about them being there either. I found it quite a pleasant place just put off by the woman's negative towards us.

I don’t usually say this, but this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in so far. Much better than those 6 star hotels like St Regis and Capella’s. Parking was €18, with discounted validated ticket where parking was just at the building adjacent to hotel. Receptionist was friendly and lovely and we had complimentary 24 hours lounge access which provided us with breakfast, light dinner and aperitif. 24 hours wine, coffee, juice, soft drinks, tea for free! The lounge was exceptional. A receptionist named Aziz went all the way in providing us with a last minute birthday cake surprise requests. Provided us with a cake and candle. Very touched by his sweet and stellar gesture. Rooms are modern and necessities are from Nuve Paris and smelt really fragrant. 2 free Evian bottles too. Will definitely stay with Okko Hotels from now on, if available. I never ever give a 10/10 review and this is my first.
