Le 22 — Restaurant in Grasse

Tried to eat at the restaurant on Tuesday circa 8pm, there were quite a few free tables on arrival. However on approaching a waiter we were told abruptly there was no room and he proceeded to pull the menu board down from the display for added effect. Bad experience and completely unnecessary rudeness from the member of staff in question.

Updated Nov 2023 - In response to wordy reply ,from this business owner, firstly there is absolutely no excuse for rudeness irrespevtive how under pressure people are, politeness should be a given front of house. Secondly this is the hospitality sector, is it not supposed to be...

La Blanche (white pizza with bacon and onion) was absolute perfection. My wife ordered croque monsieur and was very pleased with it as well. As delicious as our food was, our waitress was actually the most impressive part of the evening.

She was able to recommend wine and walk us through the menu with a big smile and made us feel very welcome. She also replenished our waters multiple times throughout dinner without prompting.

Prices felt fair and portions were right. Would recommend.

PS - the bottle of oil brought out with the pizza is spicy and is excellent...

Drinks were watered. We went on a happy hour, 6€ mojitos and Aperol, sometimes it’s better to pay a little more for a proper drink. The mojito was undrinkable and the Aperol was soda with a bit of Aperol… it’s wasn’t very good for our taste.

I would not recommend this place, not because of the mojito, because of the way the waiters handled the situations when a costumer is not happy with their drink and ask politely for a change, that says...
