Bistrot Antibois — Restaurant in Grasse

I went with a group of omnivorous. It was a good atmosphere and good food for them. The 'veggie' burger alternatives sadly uses egg white, so it wasn't for me. The 'veganised' salad was just a few cherry tomatoes, 4 extremely thin slices of mushrooms and green leaves. At full price that was neither nurturing nor an normal price. The fries were good. Ok, so the menu doesn't work for the vegan palette. The main reason for the low rating is the drinks. I had ordered a pint of Bullmers (6.8 EUR). 'Oh, we just ran out.' Ok, so a Magners then. 'OK.' Delivered was a half pint. 'Oh we are out of pint bottles.' ... OK... just bring me another. The price for the half pint was not on the menu. During paying came the shock. Each half pint was around 5.40 EUR. Which is compared to the offered price of the pint way over priced. I know that Charlie's otherwise is providing a great service to the community. Arrived just as the opened for the evening service. The waiter advised it may take a bit of time for the food to arrive as they had a lot of orders already in to prepare (take out). We were okay with that but this poor guy got some abuse from another customer. I was happy that he told us instead of us ordering and then waiting! It turned out we got our food fairly fast. I ate at Charlies 2 nights while staying in Antibes. The first I had the fish and chips which hit the spot along with the blond draft beer. The second night I tried the burger which was better than I expected, having had a lot of burgers. The beef was fresh and tasty and the bun was excellent. I highly recommend the place.
