Le Bistrot de Lérins — Restaurant in Grasse

The summer rush is not an excuse to use bad shortcuts in the kitchen and then trying to lie about it. The servers are really nice. Every time we ate here we liked the food but it was a really bad experience food wise this time. The sardines were supposed to be grilled but were served fried! One server told us that the grill had a little oil and that's why it was like that.... Another server came by and told us that the chef confirmed that he had fried the sardines. They asked us if we wanted to change, one of us did, I was hungry and didn't want to wait, we had already waited long enough. The sardines were clearly not fresh. Couldn't finish it. Really bad. My father asked his squid without sauce... It came with the sauce not only on the squid but also on the rice. This experience ruined a birthday...

The food was very good, the pizza was absolutely delicious. The service was good and friendly, and I didn't have to wait long. However, there weren't very many alcohol free alternatives. The outdoor seating was a bit cramped, but cozy. There was a good selection of wine, but not much beer. My group and I were quickly seated and quickly served. We weren't there at peak hours though, but I believe this would be a great place for an evening meal.

Oh yes, they have ALL DAY SERVICE!! We had been looking for food for all the Corniche d'Or but found absolutely nothing, because it was after 2 o'clock... (it is so hard to understand the french way of sending the chef home after lunchtime... but maybe the restaurants are not in short of customers and cash). But this paradise on earth provided us with great dishes of the day plus pizzas for the kids. We will always remember this place warmly and come back whenever we can. Super...
