Great indian curry and papadam. Take out or dine in.
The staff speaks English, is very attentive and she always explains the dishes smilely.
Agneau Korma 16.50€ (Lamb Korma Curry) Lamb saute with dates, raisins, nuts and a curry sauce with cream. The rice has a subtle fragrance on its own. I think it's cooked(steamed) with spices. Lamb is in a not so small chunks to keep the texture. You can feel the tenderness and the lamb umami. The curry sauce is really flavourful and well seasoned with all the spices. It's not spicy or super strong like other Indian curry. Altought it's hard to tell from the picture, the sauce is rich of ingridients: lamb, raisins, nuts.... Didn't expect raisins would be in the sauce. I guess it takes some time to prepare such creamy and savory curry sauce.
Sujji Halwa 4.50€ It's a pastry made from semolina pulp and flavoured with coco. The texture is like mushy smashed potato with a little scattered fibers(coco). It's garnished with a minty pepper.
Papadam 0.00€ It's a indian snacking (consider bougette slices). You can ask for more if you want. It's served as the first one. It's heated before served and comes with mint sauce. It's thin and really crunchy. It's a bit salty and has the mild...
Read moreOrdered a vindaloo and jalfrezi with vegetable bajiy and chicken samosa + garlic naan, cheese naan, garlic cheese naan.
Vindaloo: Very weakly seasoned, requested to make it spicy and there was absolutely no spice. Lamb was cooked to an edible degree.
Jalfrezi: No flavor at all, the curry tasted like slop, the spice again seemed to be on vacation because it certainly was not in the food. Chicken had no flavor.
Samosa: edible, weak flavor, badly fried
Bajiy: 95% batter 5% vegetables. undercooked, tasted like a flavorless pancake.
Naan: was alright, nothing special
The food took almost an hour.
Nobody was in the restaurant except for one other customer (glaring warning sign we should have listened to)
At least the person we ordered from was helpful and the restaurant is a little cozy.
If I could give the food less than 1 star, I would.
In conclusion 1.8/10
Please do not let this restaurant deter you from trying other Indian restaurants as Indian food is amazing. I hope I just got them on a bad day because this was an EXTREMELY...
