Average, not worse the wait!
Based on the good reviews on Google we made a booking. We had to book 3 days in advance with no choice on the time (during low season!). Fine, we will eat very early, as it seems to be a popular place. Food was ok as per the wine and desert, but not better than any other places in Alpe d’Huez, and portions are not generous. However, be ready to eat with your neighbours as you share the same table ( they were very nice people though!) and when they “offer” you a génépi as a digestive, be ready to pay £6 (€6.50) for the “gifted” shot, when your neighbour did not pay for it. Felt a bit like a fool… In contrast, in most other places, they truly gift you the génépi (like La fruitière at the Folie Douce).

Read moreRude place, which doesn't really care about the clients and doesn't deserve to be called a restaurant- entity serving the clients. Unfortunately, they insisted of all us having the main courses and became very rude, when we tried to argue that they really should serve what the clients wanted and after some argument the waitresses simply stated that they would not serve us at all and they didn't have time for...

We had the French onion soup to start which was absolutely delicious, followed by the beef steak with dauphinoise potatoes. This was from the set menu which I think was around 24 euros? Definitely worth every penny.
It gets booked up fast however, so book early! We couldn’t get a table until 9.30 but worth the wait.
My only warning is it gets quite warm in there! Lots of raclettes/fondu on the go (which also look Devine!) so maybe don’t go in your...
