Burger Fernand — Restaurant in Grenoble

I heard this place was ok, but it far exceeded my expectations. Super friendly staff (who politely tolerated my broken French), good and clean environment, quick stroll from the nearest tram stop, and fantastic food. I don't know where they get their buns, but wow. By far the best burger I've had in Grenoble. Perfectly cooked to order. And the little concave fries were perfect receptacles for those of us who prefer to treat their frites as a vehicle for mad ketchup. And my wife had the veggie burger, which was a surprisingly tasty patty thing that probably consisted of potato and onion. Yum. Better than 231 East St., too. I only wish this place was open...

I got a burger here because it was late and the only place open nearby that wasn't kebab. I wasn't expecting much as I had not heard of fernand before. J'ai commandé un burger montagnard et ma conjointe un burger végétarien. Que dire? Il est rare de retrouver dans des burgers une balance aussi complète entre les goûts: le steak cuit à perfection, le lard fumé exquis, le reblochon quel bonheur, la salade et la tomate qui rajoutent l'effet juteux dans la bouche. Le meilleur burger que j'ai mangé. Ma conjointe qui a beaucoup de mal a se trouver un burger végétarien de bonne qualité n'a jamais été aussi ravie.
