By Bo Bun Grenoble - Le Fast Good Vietnamien — Restaurant in Grenoble

The staff was very kind, and there was virtually no time between placing my order and receiving the food. I had high hopes for the bo bun, since By Bo Bun are well-received by local blogs. That should have been my first warning. Being located next to an excellent Vietnamese grocer, I also assumed the food would be fresh and simple, with none of the french "twists" that infect most asian cuisine in Grenoble. While the salad was indeed fresh, it was drowned in a far-too-familiar saccarine sauce which in no way resembles the tangy and acidic fish sauce-based dressing used in Vietnamese cooking. It's sad that restaurants like By Bo Bun can't trust the french palate to enjoy anything that isn't coated in sugar and removed of all flavors resembling those of the original dish, but here we are. I'm going to continue shopping at the Saigon Store and cooking at my house, because no one in France will serve a white person...

Young people run this place. Very friendly and helpful.
