chic & tacos (anciennement Cezar Food) — Restaurant in Grenoble

I have been a customer for years. And one star is for the food, one star is for the always pleasant staff at the counter. They are fast, they are open late night. What could go wrong?

Well, two months ago the 7€ tacos went up to 8,50€. How come? Well, now salade, tomates, ognions went 0,50€ each. This is the most expensive tacos in the region. Is it the best? Nope. Is anything proportional with the price? Nope. The tacos are on the smaller side. The burgers seem larger because the bread is larger than the meat patty.

Paper napkins? Sure, take as many sheets you want from the oversized toilet paper roll on the garbage bin.

So if you are like me looking for dinner around midnight and the weather is not very bad, go 10 minutes by foot to Burger Family next to Saint Bruno, they are opened till 5AM, and also the staff is fast and I might say even friendlier. Or if you want chicken go to Chicken Alpes, they have more chicken options and the sandwiches could be larger.

Previous review: The place is rather big for a late night food place. And that is nice.

They are open late in the night. And that is not often seen in Grenoble.

From the places that serve hot food after midnight, they are hands down the best place with the best food.

Update: same good service. With a smile.

The service is not exactly fast, but it is fast compared with the other tacos restaurants in the region.

The tacos is good, the sauce is excellent.

UPDATE: they are as good as two weeks ago. they are fast to make the order, and they are friendly.

Update: the tacos seem to have gotten smaller. Or the tacos up North, in Alsace, are so...

The food was very good. The tacos weren't full to bursting but nowhere near empty either ; the meat-to-fries ratio was around 2:3. The taste was very pleasant too. The service was all right, and Medge (I'm guessing at the spelling, and I'm sorry if I don't get it right) was friendly. But they switched the sauce around and I only realized later (I ordered Biggy Burger and got mayo), which was very disappointing, though the taco was still good. The cheeseburgers were good too, certainly pleasant, with a nice taste of tomatoes that wasn't intense enough to be annoying. The wait was about 10-20 minutes, a little long for a fast-food but acceptable. I'd give four stars for the service, but the switched sauces bring that down to three, and the taco was in the top 15 I've had, so four stars...

I asked them how many chicken does a boîte de pilons of 3 euros has and they told me 2. I ordered 10 boxes so i was supposed to get 20 chicken. But i only got 10. And when i called they told me no no it's only one. What a scam!Also the sauces i ordered were less than half! Order 6 ketchup get 2. Order 4 cheese get 1. What a joke.Last time i order with these...
