Manna restaurant coréen — Restaurant in Grenoble

Given that i have been to korea and its one of my favorite food, i always wanted to try Manna, however the food quality compared to the price is not at all good. The 1st time I had tried the barbecue, however the marinade was not tasty at all, not typical of korean taste and was very bland. I wont say it was bad but it was okayish. The 2nd time i ordered kimchi jeon and the korean pancakes, the kimchi jeon was sweet which was very odd, never had kimchi jeon which was this bad, was not able to finish the soup part at all. The pancakes were too salty and too oily was not able to finish this too. The sad part is the decir and staff are very nice but they need to improve the authenticity of food. The price they are charging are for exoticity of food so they have to match...

Fan de culture sud-coréenne, l'adresse était donc sur ma liste de restaurants à tester à Grenoble. Et mon expérience au Manna aura été mitigée. Les plats étaient bons et plutôt bien maitrisés, mais pour tout le reste ça aura été médiocre : prix excessifs pour les petites quantités, service désastreux (nous avons tout simplement été oublié après nos entrées, nous avons du courir après les serveuses pour que notre commande de plats soit prise), communication difficile car français mal maitrisé par le service, les 3/4 de la carte sont barrés, peu de choix donc... mais le pompon aura été les "banchan" (pour les non-initiés c'est un assortiment de condiment type "side-food" servi traditionnellement sur toute table coréenne, à volonté... Généralement du Kimchi, des haricots noirs, des radis...). Sauf qu'ils étaient absents et nous avons dû les réclamer et les serveuse ont éclatés de rire en nous disant que "le chef ne sera pas content" parce qu'il semble y avoir des conditions pour y avoir droit (Le comble pour un restaurant coréen). Nous avons finalement eu nos banchan, mais "à la française" : haricots verts, chou cru et pousses de mungo... Aucun aliment de la culture culinaire coréenne et un gros déficit des règles de table coréenne. Nous sommes donc bien loin de la culture...

Nice experience with my wife and my baby. The waiters are really kind and take your order pretty quick. If crowded, you will still need to wait some time to get your order.
