We had a great dinner at Le 1929!

Such a warm welcome on a Monday early evening, beautiful atmosphere inside the restaurant with plenty of space and tables.

The host could explain in perfect, slightly accented english the menu, from the specials to the main menu.

Perfect workarounds available for people like me with dietary restrictions like dairy allergy and an intimate knowledge of their own menu.

We ordered some starters, warm and cold and a main menu and a cider to wash it down. Those warm carrots or the potato cassoulet, to die for.

If you ever find yourself in La Rochelle, please do eat here, your tummy will fully agree...

This is a quirky and interesting restaurant with everything you want for a great evening! Innovative food with French panache. The dishes arrive as they come- slow beef in Masala, baked onion with a mustard sauce, bread and butter pudding with pig's trotter! And more are all impeccably served and so delicious! Tres Bien Monsieur! Thankfully your English is better than my French! Mercy...

What a find! What a gem 👌 As a family of 4 we had 8 dishes, each of them incredible, and the combination just sublime. The chef was attentive and friendly, spending time to explain each dish on the menu. Go and taste for yourselves! You will walk away, as we did, each one of us satisfied and wirh big smiles that delicious food cooked with passion gives you, ready for an evening stroll...
