It had not started well as they could not find our booking (done weeks prior to our visit), which is always uncomfortable and annoying.
They settled us at the counter in front of the kitchen and offered us a drink in a goodwill gesture duly noted. Later, finding our booking but under the wrong name, we were offered the choice to move to the main room for the rest of the dinner.
Well, let's go down to the food. Ups and downs: years after enjoying foie gras made by grandma or the locals in Périgord, duh.... I think I have found the best foie gras i ever tasted this evening! By itself, it was the very best, with the rest of the dish, it was really harmonious and brought pleasant flavors ~ the main dish, ris de veau paired with octopus, was a good surprise. the desert was however slightly disappointing.
