After spending a quality time in Lille we decided to visit one of the good rated restaurants with my companion. I must say that we were deeply dissatisfied of the quality of meat. Despite french fries and drinks being great, the ribs that we ordered were far from being ideal. Maybe I was unlucky, although my Honey&BBQ ribs tasted like bare fat on bones and the spices werenât palpable at all. The ribs of my friend were fine, nevertheless but not of expected standards. We didnât feel like the food was as we expected from the Google reviews. One more thing to add, they didnât follow covid safety measures.
STALKING ON INSTAGRAM!? The most astonishing part of the experience was that after I gave them 1 star on Google, the customer service became very hostile towards me. She questioned my opinion and followed it with Instagram conversation asking me to change my review. Outrageous as it sounds, they had to stalk my private account to find me there to engage with my during nighttime with weird chat about feedback that I gave them. She wanted the explanation and rejected my version of events, also accusing my of telling a red lie, as I didnât speak up about in the restaurant. Also, when the waiter came to us, he was talking to us in an arrogant and haughty way. So far, not huge fan of the service. When it comes to food, the prices for beef are a bit high but it was well cooked. I had beef slices and they were cooked with butter and very tender. The sauce is not the best i have tried, I have even tried a less expensive restaurant here in Lille and they had exactly the same sauce with the same taste. DĂšs notre arrivĂ©e, nous avons Ă©tĂ© installĂ©s dans une salle au sous-sol, qui ressemblait davantage Ă une cave quâĂ une salle de restaurant, avec une odeur pestilentielle dâĂ©gout qui rendait lâambiance tout simplement insupportable. AprĂšs avoir demandĂ© Ă changer de place, on nous a finalement installĂ©s Ă lâĂ©tage, mais malheureusement, les relents dâĂ©gout Ă©taient toujours prĂ©sents et ont persistĂ© tout au long du repas. Le service a Ă©tĂ© Ă la hauteur de lâodeur : dĂ©sorganisĂ©, nĂ©gligĂ© et non professionnel. Nous nâavions mĂȘme pas terminĂ© nos entrĂ©es que les plats principaux nous Ă©taient dĂ©jĂ servis. Ce manque total de coordination montre un manque de professionnalisme flagrant. Jâai commandĂ© un filet pur, mais ce que jâai reçu nâen avait que le nom : une piĂšce de viande tellement attendrie, coupĂ©e si finement quâelle ressemblait Ă une escalope, sans goĂ»t, blanche comme du veau. Aucune texture, aucune saveur, et surtout aucun respect du produit. Quant Ă la prĂ©sentation des plats, câĂ©tait franchement limite minable : quelques feuilles de salade posĂ©es Ă la va-vite avec un filet de vinaigrette industrielle et deux tomates cerises coupĂ©es, rien de plus. Aucune recherche, aucune Ă©lĂ©gance, mĂȘme dans la simplicitĂ©.
Les sauces proposĂ©es Ă©taient tout aussi problĂ©matiques. La sauce champignon nâavait aucun champignon â littĂ©ralement â, tandis que la sauce Roquefort Ă©tait sucrĂ©e, un comble pour un steakhouse. Pour un Ă©tablissement censĂ© ĂȘtre spĂ©cialisĂ© dans la viande, câest inacceptable.
Autres signes dâun service bĂąclĂ© : des verres servis chauds pour accompagner un soda, des glaçons apportĂ©s sans pince ni cuillĂšre, et lorsquâon recommande des boissons, les bouteilles vides restent entassĂ©es sur la table, comme si le personnel ignorait complĂštement les bases du service. Les prix sont bien trop Ă©levĂ©s pour ce que lâon nous a servi.
