I didn't know what to expect after reading some reviews, when I reserved the table. The first person I met when I came in was Julia, your charm & smile made me feel welcomed. Please keep this for all your guests (first impression counts) You are the ❤️ of Coco Lyon.

Also thank you to Yelena & Edward (the translator😅) for taking care of me during my dinner. You guys are a well played team. Yelena said Edward is her boss. To be honest, I only saw 2 people working together to make sure that everything is going well. What an impression you guys left on me. To Edward you are a good boss and keep it up for your current & future colleagues.

Also thank you to the barkeepers. That smile and eye contact count a lot.

When I think of Lyon, Coco Lyon will be on top. Thanks to Julia, Edward, Yelena and their colleagues for making my evening memorable.

Coco is set in the old railway arrival hall, a unique and gorgeous ground, the menu will satisfy almost everyone, they even have adapted some of the dishes for children, so everyone can find a fit. We tried the Pea's consome, that was marvellous, their foie gras, as starters, together with house cocktails signatures, their mixologist is talented. Service was highly skilled, the only faux pas was that while we were served bread and butter, we had no service plate to cut it or eat it on, a tiny set back, but unexpected. The rest of the diner and food was as good as the starters, but I was surprised that their chef set Pasta (tagliatelle) as a side dish with their delicious lamb shank, any chef will tell you, pasta is no side dish, only canteens do that.
