Brasserie 3 Rivières — Restaurant in Lyon

Not a pleasant experience 👎 such a waist of the beautiful and touristic location because of the service. They lost at least 3 customers tonight.

We sat down with some friends for a nice relaxing summery Saturday evening at 22.30pm hoping for refreshing water and soft drinks.

Waited over 20min before order was taken surrounded by tables uncleaned due to a miss of organisation from the staff overwhelmed by busy traffic that night.

When the order was taken my request of a jug of water was declined even tho we were consuming at the table. I then require a glass of water instead of the jug and got declined as well...

I had to leave my seat and go at the bar itself to claim a glass of water that has been served to me in a “shot” glass. 😂🙄 so I’ve asked them 4 of them and got served 3.

A real joke. And it’s not quite yet….

When I got back to sit with my friends, drinks got served, billed and paid at the table but my “sirop d’orgeat” was more than diluted with a lot of ice and water so barely tasted anything to be honest - so I had to top up the sirop for more flavour at the bar again. 🙄

Not a nice experience so far but even worst when we were forced to leave the terrasse and finish up our drinks quickly to stay away from the stinking smoke of 2 neighbours allowed illegally to smoke something else than cigarettes…

Definitely didn’t worth driving 80km twice during this evening to go to this spot hoping for a nice atmosphere and service to enjoy Lyon by a summer night.

I wouldn’t even go eat or drink in this brasserie if I would live just above it.

Overall, this was a great experience. We went there at lunchtime, and the entrées had summarized English descriptions underneath the French so you had a pretty good idea of what you were getting.

Both of our waiters told me that they only had small English, but in fact, we didn’t have any real problem communicating. The portions were filling and they were large.

The food tasted really good. It didn’t taste like bold, strong spices… it was just really good. I really like eating, but I guess my vocabulary fails me at this point! LOL. I tasted mine and I tasted my wife’s and they were...

The worst breakfast that I ever had in France

We ordered 2 breakfast menus: -The baguette was stale (2 days old?). And actually it was a third of baguette piece, each customer. -The slices of butter were to thin that they were not enough to cover the (small amount of) bread the jam was probably taken from Carrefour (one small portion each) we were not given any plates where to eat the bread. I asked for one; the waiter paused to think, annoyingly she said she’d go and check if it possible. Plates arrived, all dirty.
