My brother and I got handed a table in what felt like a corridor. Maybe that’s just me, but it didn’t set the right tone. The waitress taking the order was knowledgeable, but there was no warmth or genuine hospitality. Starters were fine, nothing to rave about, nothing to complain about either. Strangely, as soon as they were cleared, we were asked if we wanted dessert — first sign that staff were completely disconnected from what was going on. Mains arrived. I didn’t go for pizza, and I wish I had. The truffle pasta was a disaster: overcooked, swimming in truffle oil, topped with a heap of shaved truffle. Heavy, greasy, and frankly disgusting. When they cleared the plate and asked how it was, I suggested they might want to strain the oil off for tomorrow’s service. That earned no apology, no goodwill, nothing. Went to a cocktail bar to save the day and drown my sorrows.

Really lovely friendly staff - everyone greeted and said hello from the pizza chefs, barmen and waiters. Pizzas were tasty and super quality ingredients. Thin crispy base and light fluffy crust. Only negative was the chili oil, it wasn’t spicy and the oil tasted odd, like canola oil - not something we’d expect from this calibre of restaurant. Service was very quick and attentive. Didn’t have to wait to order wine or for it to arrive - top marks there. Pretty interior with a labyrinth of bright stone passages. Overall, super friendly service, tasty food in a nice setting
