It is not for everyone, but you will be treated very kindly and warmly. This is family ran restaurant of native Lebanese cuisine. Owners are elderly lebanese couple who are very friendly and are very generous. You won't see stereotytypical french waiters here and long waiting hours. You order directly to the chef who immediately starts putting your plate together. Owners don't speak English, but we managed to get through with very little french we had, without huffing and puff. They were very kind and heated up a bit of food we brought with ourselves for baby. Seatings inside are very small but restaurant has spread its outdoor sittings generously over multiple tables. This is typical for all restaurants in this part of Lyon, I believe. The menu is quite limited and you can order plates or just separate items have ordered vegetarian and mezze plate. Our only concern is over the taste and a bit to hygiene. We never had truly original Lebanese cuisine before and found it a bit overwhelming, with lots of spices, oil and mix of things we never mixed before. It is probably how authentic cuisine tastes, but a bit unusual for standard tourist palate. For example we chose to try home citronade, but it was so heavily loaded with spices and sugar, that we couldn't finish it. It was really fresh and good quality, but just very unusual. Overall if you are into authentic Lebanese cuisine and not a picky eater it is a place to get your true thing, otherwise consider...
Read moreI went to this lebanese restaurant a few days ago with a group of friends. The place is cozy but well maintained. There were seats inside but also on a terrace with a beautiful view of the lyonese streets.
The people working there are really kind, friendly and helpful. They helped us decide what to try an order.
We ate some kebbe (ground beef with bulgur and spices), really tasty with a crunchy outside and a soft inside. We also ordered a mixed plate, with fettushe salad, falafel, kefta (ground beef), chicken, hummus, baba ganouch and rice/potatoes. This plate was accompanied with Lebanese bread and a glass of homemade lemonade 😋
Everything was really tasty and well presented. We will return for sure to taste other amazing Lebanese cuisine.
I for sure recommend this place for everyone who wants to taste some authentic...
Read moreFood is really good quality but give yourself an hour just go get served. It is the slowest service in town literally. I went there twice, first time we waited for 45 minutes and eventually we left as no one even bothered saying hello to us yet alone attempting to serve even if the restaurant was empty with only three tables occupied. The second time was the same, it took them around 20 minutes to take my take-away order and about 30 minutes to make a single sandwich. The two ladies that work their know how to cook excellent home style food, but obviously they have never worked or or have very little idea on how to run a restaurant service...
