Food was average. Wine came from bottles that were open a week ago. On top of that, just like magic, their credit card machine stopped working when I was about to pay, after many clients were able to pay with it. They made me go withdraw the money from an ATM (escorted by one of their waiters, maybe they thought I didn’t want to pay) and I got charged 10 euros. Bill was 41 euro, I gave them 40 and ask for 1 euro discount since I had to go withdraw the money. Rarely have we been served so poorly. We had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes late: we were rudely told that the kitchen was already closed and that we could only have drinks and a salad. We pointed out that we weren't informed of this when we made the reservation: they apologized, saying that on the phone they had understood 8:15 PM instead of 9:15 PM as we had clearly indicated. A very enjoyable meal - snails and foie gras, followed by a very enjoyable burger with a good side salad. I was slightly disappointed by my Café Gourmande - nothing particularly special on it - but my OH enjoyed his dessert. The beer was great & the proprietor friendly and efficient.
