Our recent visit to this restaurant was a deeply disappointing experience for our party. From the outset, the waitress's demeanor struck us as distinctly lacking in warmth. When we quietly mentioned that the salad dressing tasted off to us, her response came across as increasingly dismissive. We politely expressed our preference for the salad not to be included on our bill. Her tone, as we perceived it, seemed to escalate, and we felt a sense of pressure to accept the salad, which left us feeling uneasy about expressing our concerns and our general comfort. There were moments where remarks were made that we found upsetting, delivered in a manner that led us to believe they were intended to be unheard by other guests. We also observed the placement of a menu on the table with an abruptness that made us uncomfortable, particularly given the proximity of glassware. For some in our party who are not fluent in French but could understand parts of what was said, certain comments delivered in French, as we understood them, gave us the impression they were spoken as if they would not be comprehended. In a city that welcomes international visitors, this interaction felt less culturally sensitive than we would have hoped. When we calmly indicated that we did not wish to discuss the matter further, the situation felt like it intensified, and her presence near our table felt increasingly uncomfortable — at times even intimidating.

Raising our concerns, particularly in front of our guests, appeared to visibly irritate her. We felt it was important for us to voice our discomfort when we perceived disrespect. Based on our experience, we personally would not choose to return to this restaurant or recommend it. We find it difficult to support establishments where we, as guests, feel disrespected or uneasy. We wish the best to the other employees we encountered, who were polite and professional, and sincerely hope that management ensures all guests consistently feel respected. We hope the waitress involved takes time to reflect on how her actions impacted our experience, and that she comes to understand that not all guests will remain silent in the face of perceived discomfort or mistreatment. We do not anticipate or desire an apology; our intention in sharing this is for others to be aware of the challenging treatment we personally received. We've noted that other reviews describe experiences that resonate with ours, suggesting this might not be an isolated incident.

Across our combined decades of dining out, we have never encountered behavior like this. We will not return and cannot personally recommend...

We were the third table that arrived at the restaurant at 19:45, so it was fairly empty. And we were glad that we got to order before the restaurant filled up (multiple 10+ people tables). Even so, for some reason, we got our two main dishes at 21:30, which made no sense, since we had ordered before 90% of the other tables. And it was very frustrating watchung people around us get their food when they came in way later than us. I know delays happen and I know it’s tough, but this was really too much. To top it off, I found a huuuuuge hair in my octopus dish, which really kind of ruined the experience alltogether, especially after the long wait. My partner was grossed out as well, so we just paid and left.

The entrees were very good (and on time), the drinks as well, and the waitress was friendly. It’s a beautiful restaurant, and I’m sure this was some sort of general error, but it was pretty...

I made a reservation and I written down that I wanted a nice table since we were celebrating my mother's birthday.

The dishes were good, abundant and rich.

Unfortunately, the service was poor. The young waitress, that welcomed us, was lovely and really attentive.

Sadly she left and another lady took charge. Her attitude was beyond rude, never bother to tell us that the restaurant was about to close, that we needed to leave soon, or anything. She just came straight forward with the bill and the eftpos in hand for us to make the payment and told my mother that we needed to leave in 10 minutes.

Even if the food is nice of a restaurant, the customer service is a great deal in the Hospitality industry.

Awful moment that we had to deal on my mother's birthday. I would recommend to go if the brunette rude lady is...

We had a very lovely time eating dinner at Coin Coin. They have an interesting menu. It feels like the starters are the main protagonist whislt the main dishes are simpler but still good. We've ordered the duck croquettes and the chickpeas specialty from Marseille, they were both outstanding! The Panesse were soft and crunchy on the outside, then we've ordered aubergine fritters, which were average but had an interesting peanut sauce, overall I would have avoided this one. Then we had octopus and veggies Cesar salad, they were both good, too much dressing on my salad but still pleasent to eat. With two glasses of wine we spent 40€ each which I think is on the expensive side.

A real gem. We arrived 30 mins early based on trip advisor but we were not turned away. We were offered a choice to either sit in the outer area of the restaurant and have a drink which we did. We enjoyed a lovely glass of cotes de rhone while waiting for the restaurant to officially open. The service was excellent. The meal was delicious. Even though we spoke limited french and the waiter limited English, we were able to communicate effectively to have a wonderful experience. Because we booked online we received a 30% discount so doubly surprised. However without the discount it is still reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed.

4.5* Really delightful place, nice interior decoration, thoughtfully created sharing plates. Fresh water comes automatically in a bottle, which is great. 2 small issues: it would have been nice to have a couple more slices of bread from the outset. And the tables in the window, giving on to the street sound fun but the noise from the street means conversation is pretty impossible.
