Tigermilk Marseille — Restaurant in Marseille

The night before, on my way back from dinner, I noticed a restaurant with an interesting name. After checking its Google reviews, we immediately made a reservation for the following evening.

Today, I arrived with curiosity and was welcomed by the restaurant’s elegant décor, pleasant ambiance, and friendly, attentive staff. It was a great start to the evening. Since I’m not very familiar with Mexican cuisine, I found the flavors of the dishes somewhat bland, but of course, this is a relative opinion depending on one’s taste.

However, what started as a nice dinner turned into a nightmare with dessert. The cheesecake served was extremely stale—something that should have been thrown away two days ago. A place that serves such a thing to its customers does not deserve to be called a restaurant. This mentality doesn’t even deserve one star, but unfortunately, giving zero stars...

Had dinner at this much reviewed restaurant last night and absolutely disappointed. Staff were absent and unhelpful. The menu is only accessible by phone app. The drinks menu looks like it has been down the back a couch for a few years. Dirty and stained. Ordered a pulled chicken burger which turned out to be a slightly pink paste glued to a tasteless bun. Not sure what happened to the potatoes other than they were not cooked, crispy, mashed or seasoned. Looked like they arrived on the plate as an after thought with as much attention paid to them as the staff pays to the customers. Basically the place has as much charm as a wet sheep stuffed into a cocktail dress to make it look pretty. If you are looking to impress your wife or partner...

The waiter was extremely friendly and happy and I didn’t feel bad for not being able to speak French (a lot of places talk down to you if you can’t speak their language, even though I do speak basic French!) He suggested 2x tacos to me and I said “yep let’s go for those” I had the cauliflower tacos and the chicken ones as well. For €12.50 combined, this was an absolute delight of a meal. The cauliflower tacos were unbelievably tasty. So so good. I’m heading to Nice at the end of the week and they have a Tigermilk there too, and I will definitely be reserving a table!
