Having lived in France for over two years, this gem that I walked into by chance serves without a doubt the best fries I've had in France. Crispy, mouthwateringly good, and obviously made with great care, anyone bored with those sloppy French Fries and after a good portion of the real deal; this is your place. Additionally their home made mayonaise is incredible. Unlike the common French mayo, which tends to be doused in vinegar here they serve the type of mayonaise I sometimes miss, the one served in countries further North. Add to that the kindest people imaginable working there , and I just conclude that I was lucky walking into such a great Friterie by chance!

Read moreWhile living in Marseille it was possible to get Belgian fries and snacks at Friterie Werner. Properly fried (in ox-white?) and with the appropriate amount of salt (not too much or too little). To be honest, I rarely have tasted fries as good as these (even in Belgium or Netherlands).
