In Marseille, amidst the ceaseless human tide, we found La Nena. The plates that arrived were but fragments, fleeting glimpses of a larger, unknowable feast. Small, yes, almost imperceptible, yet each a whisper of the earth's deep secrets, a momentary stay against the indifferent void.
Echoes on the Tongue The asparagus, stark and unyielding, presented itself as a testament to nature's enduring will, a verdant silence against the clamor of existence. And the chorizo, fiery and resolute, spoke of a primal hunger, a deep-seated need for the tangible. Even the desserts, those often-dismissed gestures at life's sweet brevity, offered a quiet resignation, a gentle dissolution into the inevitable.
The Silent Bearers of Sustenance The service was prompt and attentive, yet such words, how easily they fall from human lips, attempting to sheath the sharp edges of reality. Yet, here, there was a certain unobtrusive presence, a graceful ballet of hands ferrying these miniature sacraments. They moved through this place where the currents of human life, even in their trivialities, continue their relentless flow.

The portions were tiny and overpriced; e.g. the boquerones (sardines) tasted good, but we were served only 3 (!) and charged seven euros. With the tiny portions leaving us rather hungry, we asked for more bread which was forgotten by the waitress who seemed a little overwhelmed. I would not come again, there are better Tapas places a few minutes...

Admittedly in our two days in Marseille this is the one place where we felt a bit of the stereotypical French snub to English speakers with the staff paying a little more attention to locals but that is to be expected from time to time....
