I was at Le Bon Burger Vieux Port around 18:30. Place at the time was almost empty, locals were dining elswhere. I have strong feeling place is dedicated mostly for tourists due to above average prices (Paris on my mind).
Quality - I really enjoyed the meal, yet few things to mention, as I others might have other demands. I ordered burger with foie gras, but didn't felt it much despite large slice on my beef. I recommend adding some salt cause you might don't feel meat patty very sharp (something I find in many French burger restaurants). Meat was grilled perfectly as I wanted. Buttery bun was delicious - not toasted but I didn't minded. Now my biggest surprise - potatoes were amazing - full of flavour from spices and perfectly made - I feel almost bad stating this so much - I loved them! Red cabbage coleslaw very good. Overal 5,5/6 in my taste.
Service - young gentleman was very professional, even after I declined his will to teach me French while being served (I wasn't in a mood after week of traveling). His female friend was not very responsive in the begging (I had to call her for attention as other table was shouting for her but she failed to notice. Only 3 tables were occupied...).
Why am I giving 4 stars out of 5 possible?
I was asked to pay at the counter. When I was coming to do so, I heard young gentleman naming me a Mastodonte to his friend inside (I am an oversized man) in a joke. Usually I would get upset, but on this occasion it felt very funny / cliche about rude service that after 1,5 years of living in Paris area I finally experienced here).
Message to staff - even if someone request to speak in English, please assume he or she might still understand...
Read moreCongrats! You’ve made it to the Top 5 Worst Burgers I’ve Ever Ate In My Life!
Ordered two different Burgers with fries. Nothing bad to say about the fries, however the Burgers were seriously a big disaster. I ordered my Beef to be (Medium) and I got the most well-done Burger a man can make. The meat itself had ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE. It was exactly like chewing on plastic.
The Buns were not toasted and the tomato Slices were relatively big. Unfortunately we left more than half of our food uneaten. One more thing, they have in their alcohol Menu (Bouteille Gin Bombay Sapphire 70cl) for 70€!!!!!!!!! This bottle literally costs 18€ and they’re selling it literally for more than twice the price.
Avoid this place...
Read moreguy at the register tried to steal my change.
(Response to owner): I am certain it was your restaurant. I ordered the Le Bon Burger Francais. When I went to the register to pay up the cashier first charged me for three items despite the fact that I only ordered a burger and had sparkling water. I didn't think much of it but after that he asked me for a 1 euro coin (he was clearly trying to confuse me) I handed him 50 euro for a 22 euro order and he only handed me 10 euro. How does that even make sense? When I called him out on it he acted confused and laughed. You should be careful with who you hire, I think this gentlemen was trying to take advantage of the fact that I...
