So it’s out last meal in France and I desperately wanted a French meal to remember. Last night was a disaster because the restaurant we planned to visit wouldn’t let us in without a booking. Tonight’s restaurant was in tapas-only mode. The tapas was excellent but sadly mostly Italian and Spanish. Burrata (mozzarella ball with tomato), bruschetta, chiffomade de jambon, some local red wine, and finally some crème brûlée. All up a successful night if a...

Firstly it seemed to have a nice atmosphere. The crème brulé was good. But unfortunately very impolite service. As a tourist I felt uncomfortable. Although I spoke French with them they stubbornly answered in English which made me feel very uncomfortable. Maybe it's the concept to be mean to tourist to maintain the place only French people. Interesting concept though in a city which makes a lot of money...

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere! Visited Marseille at the end of April 2023 and had some of the best chicken in my life. The staff was very friendly especially when we don’t speak a word of French. Chef/owner came out to greet customers and to ask how the food was. Could tell that he’s super passionate and particular about the standard of his food.

Fabulous experience. A real treat to find an old fashioned bistro doing so well. It’s packed every lunchtime. Almost all locals, many clearly returning regularly. Food is way above average. Well served and incredible value. Very friendly staff. Try the Assiette Lyonaise if it’s on offer. Well worth the short walk from the old port.
