Stumbled upon this little gem of a Moroccan restaurant while exploring Le Panier district of Marseille. The kitchen itself is small with dine-in customers seated in Place de Lorette on folding tables and chairs. The owner Amaar, was very friendly and suggested the vegetarian couscous dish for my wife who does not eat meat. As for me, I ordered the Sardines Tajine. The food came out fast, and the delicious. Both the vegetarian dish and the fish were perfectly spiced. The vegetarian dish came with a side of delicately spiced curry, and there was a side of bread for both of us. The food went down well with the glass of local Provençal red wine that we both ordered. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially for the price paid. For two entrees and two glasses of wine, the tab was just €49. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good place to grab dinner in Le Panier.

Super nasty kitchen, unfriendly service… we waited over 1 hour for just a salad which was completely overpriced. Never seen such a chaos inside. Tables were not clean. Just very bad. Moreover, we were not told that we cannot pay by card… so we had to walk 20min to the atm👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 the tap water was dirty, not drinkable.. wondering if I get a disease…updates coming….

Restaurant on a lovely little square which is calm and shaded. The service was quite slow, forgetful, and pretty chaotic, although friendly-ish - some people may not appreciate the person serving (the owner?) making fun of one person in our group who fell down from a hamac which was there. We took it with humour. We got 3 slices of bread for 7 people and had to ask for more, as well as for water we never got. The food was pretty tasty, but overpriced especially for the quantity: the chicken tagine was served on what seemed like a desert plate. The owner said that if you think that there is not enough, we should have just asked for more (!), so maybe go for it and do that. It seems like the owners are taking advantage of a nice spot. I would rather recommend having a great ice-cream at the shop...

1st, the owner was absolutely attentive. 2nd, the food was wonderful. We had a tajine (chicken) and a couscous with chicken. Both were excellent and authentic. The owner even provided a dish of caramelized onions and raisins to accompany the couscous, usually reserved for special occasions. Everything was clean and sparkled. The local white wine was a perfect...
