Extremely poor quality of food. The crumpets ordered were very burnt, tasted bitter and the cakes were v dense and covered in squirty cream(!) Scones were average, one saving grace - the cat is v cute!

Coffee tasted burnt and overall bill was expensive for what we received.

Only accepts cash and cheque? In 2019! Biggest heatwave since 2003 and the umbrellas weren’t even up!

Response to our feedback, politely given, was standoffish. Always accept feedback graciously even if you don’t agree with it. V poor and it’s a shame that non-English people may visit this establishment and think it’s a true reflection...

We had cream teas (scones), teas (Earl Grey, Darjeeling) and a chocolate milk shake. All nice, and very reasonably priced. Homemade scones had perfect balance of moisture, crumble and exterior crunch - perfect! The owner is very friendly and doing her best to accommodate COVID-19 procedures. We were lucky enough to find this little gem yesterday after arriving in this charming town. The owner Kim and her lovely assistant ( sorry darling your name is beautiful but I can’t remember it as it was so unusual), were so hospitable and friendly.
