Before booking a table at Al-Manara, I had read conflicting opinions concerning this restaurant, therefore I was not really sure about my choice. On the one hand there were enthusiastics opinions about nice and abundant food. On the other hand it seemed that the waiters were not that nice and that you had to wait ages to eat. Well, maybe we had been lucky since we went there on a quiet Wednesday night, anyhow: service was flawless, food was copious and very tasty. We have especially enjoyed the fava beans with mint, a lovely babaganoush, the maghmour (lebanese moussaka) and the shish taouk (chicken skewers). Read moreThe issue seems to be mostly/totally with Just Eat. I don't. know (and I don't want to know) what is the relationship between the food provider and the deliverer. Just Eat says "Dans certains cas, Just Eat est également responsable de la livraison." Which is legalese for something or other :-(
What I do know is that I was told the delivery was on its way and it never arrived. Without any notification from anyone,
I'm upping thr Food rating to 3 although I haven't seen any of it.

Read moreThis place has a restaurant and next door you get mostly the same food but quicker and cheaper. The owner was very nice and they were flexible enough to prepare us a vegan mezze plate. For the shawarma plate we had to bargain a bit, as it usually just comes with fries an meat only as it seems. Nevertheless, most of the things tasted good, just the bread was old and hard already. Side note: be careful when you sit on the door - sometimes beggars come in, but the staff tried to keep them outside...
