We came here to take a break between walks during a very hot day and get some cold drinks. The waiter told us that since we are not ordering any food he will ask us to leave if there will be a high demand during lunchtime. We ended up paying 9€ for two pressed lemon juices (which is quite a high price for this city) and left before “high” demand time (the restaurant was still half-empty by the time we left.
I know there are some places in France that practice this lunch policy. However, given that I was 5 months (visibly) pregnant and it was +30 degrees, it would be nice to treat people more humanely rather than focusing on earning an extra penny.
UPD. Dear owner, your response where you claim that I am “pretending” to be pregnant is outrageous and quite shocking. I visited France 5 times as well as many other countries and I am highly aware that different countries have different traditions. As much as I am happy to respect and honor the traditions of each single county, I don't think that treating people like ** is part of French ones. I hope that people who will read your response will not want to support a business led by...
Read moreI sincerely hope this business goes down. I had a sudden toilet emergency as I happened to be near this Brasserie. It just could not wait. I asked politely the lady at the door if I could use their toilet and I would pay her. She said no and sent me away to my mysery. I did say: Madam, it's really urgent! She couldn't care less. Luckily this little adventure ended well as there was another little bar nearby that agreed to let me use their toilet....
