One of the most perfect lunches ever. Tucked away in the small but hopping beach town of La Grande Motte, no visit to the Marseilles region is complete until you’ve made the easy car ride out here. Marilu and Nicolas and their family were master hosts. Our three hour lunch consisted of every manner of seafood plucked right from the local waters. Scallops. Langoustines. Shrimp. Clams. Cockles. Lobster. Razor clams (Couteau). And most of all - oodles of their delicious proprietary oysters. Wash it down with a few bottles of local picpoul and rose. A perfect summer afternoon in France.

Easily the best seafood restaurant I’ve been to in France. The hostess was very welcoming and the service was attentive and friendly and the food even better. My favorite item was the specialty Bouchet Oyster, which is produced locally by the owners of the restaurants. Un restaurant sans prétention ni fioritures ostentatoire et qui pourtant, derrière son honorable modestie, partage, avec coeur,m et compétence, son expertise gastronomique. Amateurs de fruits de mer, arrêtez-vous sans hésiter ! Attablez-vous sur la terrasse bien ventilée. Commandez les yeux fermés car régalée vous serez. Profitez de la vue sur le port avec un excellent champagne (Charles Montaine pour notre part) pendant que cuisiniers et serveurs investis feront tout ce qu'il faut pour vous combler. Succès garantie ! En cuisine : un des patrons, Jonathan, calculant plus vite que son ombre pour nous offrir quelques fruits de mer en plus sur notre plateau afin que celui-ci, initialement prévu pour deux, deviennent parfaitement divisible par trois.
