The fact that this restaurant is located in Rue du bras de Fer which is by far one of the coolest, hip and instagrammable spots of Montpellier is not the most attractive point of this cosy little restaurant nestled in one of the crevices of this medieval street. It's the food they offer. Takkito is fun, unique, cosy and authentically innovative. The owner Max who by the way is very welcoming, has created dishes that pack a punch of enticing flavours which is quite frankly a rare find in France when it comes to non-French cuisine. We ordered a bowl of jerked chicken and wine to go with it and we were astonished by the jolt of the exquisite taste of the food. We ended our meal with the "mango chia" dessert that was just ultra delightful. Complements to the owner and the chef for such a unique offering to the locals and visitors of Montpellier. Not only this restaurant has grabbed the top spots on my list but also on my bucket list to try all the items on the menu. So if you haven't visited this restaurant yet and do yourself a favour and visit it ASAP!

THANK YOU SO MUCH A L’ÉQUIPE DE TAKKITO!!! Yesterday we crushed in this wonderful place with 25 people. I was able to make a very spontaneous reservation for such a huge group. I would never have expected that’ll fit but the boss made it happen, he managed it and gave us the opportunity to have a wonderful dinner together. The food was amazing and so many gluten-free and vegan options - many people who normally have problems were very happy this evening. Also definitely try the Irish coffee with the fantastic vegan cream - it was sooooo good!! Thank you very much for hosting us yesterday! I definitely send a big recommendation - you guys rock!! En réponse au 27/07: Moi aussi j’aimerai vivre en THÉORIE car en théorie tout est parfait et bien là malheureusement ce n’était pas le cas. Vous semblait vous offusquez car dans mon référentiel, ce n’est pas parce qu’un pain est sans gluten et vegan qu’il manque fatalement de moelleux et de saveur…. PS: mea culpa si j’ai confondu le persil avec la coriandre (il n’avait toujours pas sa place pour autant) et d’avoir écrit cocktail au lieu de mocktail (j’en consommes régulièrement et par comparaison à la concurrence, les doses de gingembre et citron étaient vraiment légères) Je ne comprends pas à quel snack servi en plâtrée vous faites référence….question de palais j’imagine 🤔 Nous avons en effet félicité la serveuse pour l’effiloché de poulet quand elle nous a posé la question à table…. Mais nous n’allions pas réaliser une dissertation pendant ce service pluvieux, entre vos aller retour sur la terrasse et la cuisine sur la seconde entrée du bâtiment… Enfin bref, on sent votre engagement et votre sensibilité et c’est bien normal puisque c’est votre gagne pain. Mais en tant que client j’ai le droit d’avoir des attentes et oui, à 23,8€ la boisson et le plat, vous n’avez pas atteint mes exigences et cela ne reste que mon avis qui d’ailleurs, souligne 7 points positifs contre 4 négatifs….y’a pas match il me semble ? Avis initial Belle initiative de convier les différents régimes alimentaires autour d’une même table! L’option halal est appréciable 👍🏻! L’effiloché de poulet avec la sauce cheddar est très gourmand mais le pain du burger n’était pas assez moelleux ni savoureux et la coriandre que j’aime beaucoup n’avez pas sa place à mon sens dans ce plat. Les légumes épicés sont originaux et goûteux. La boisson au gingembre à 5,9€ ne ressemble pas vraiment à un cocktail et le plat nous a semblé léger pour 17,9€. Le service est professionnel et agréable, l’espace est assez restreint mais très cosy et les wc sont impec! Dans l’ensemble, cela reste une bonne expérience pour nous.
