Le Verre gave us one of the worst restaurant experiences ever, on October 15, 2019. It wasn't busy when we entered, around the start of lunch time. We were seated and given menus. (Note: sit at the shared, long tables. The small ones are too low to be comfortable when you eat.) While we waited, other patrons came in and received appetizers. Eventually, we placed our order. The shared appetizer (some simple, fried and breaded fish, shrimp, and chicken) arrived after about twenty minutes and a warning from the server after about half the time that it would take a "petite minute" longer. Then the rest of the food took almost an hour to get to us. When it did come, it arrived separately. My salmon tartare was very good. My wife's pasta dish was decent and quite large, arriving a few minutes later yet. I commented about the long wait and the server offered to make us tea or coffee on the house, but I declined because that would have taken who knows how long. When we paid, it turned out she had forgotten to list my wife's wine and corrected the bill. We were finally done over two hours after entering. It looked like the server was working hard and doing what she could, but the kitchen had to be small, slow, and apparently overloaded. - Lots of people come here for the wine, and are escorted back where the wine racks are so they pick from the many bottles. We didn't know that. Some patrons had long faces and also waited a long time for their food. Others were apparently aware of how this place functions and were making lengthy phone calls, reading documents, or otherwise using the time to work. I hope to never see the inside of this...
Read moreReally nice place to go at any time with friends or colleagues. Decoration is excellent, with comfortable chairs and sofas. The way it works is the following: you credit a card they give you with the amount of money you want. You can use this card to cater some wine before making your choice. You have 3 sizes of glasses and you pay only what you consume. Each bottle (red, white, rose or even champagne) they offer has a description on it and if it gets your attention, you introduce your card, and it will pour the quantity you chose (let's say small, medium and large). The amount charged will depend on the price of the bottle. In terms of meal they offer tapas which are rather expensive for what they are but you also pay for the decoration and the ambiance. I've tried their brunch (see the pic) and I...
Read moreNice atmosphere. Group dining and 3 different large tables. Charcuterie plate was good. My wife had the fish dish which was a bit over cooked but tasty. I had the scallop and salmon tartare with tasteful potatoes. Both dishes could be served with a little more presentation to make it visually more tasteful. Serviced was ok. Server tried his best to accommodate all diners but was a bit I knowledgeable about certain items. All in all we had a pleasant experience and would recommend for a nice lunch in the middle of...
