Café de l'Alliance Française — Restaurant in Nice

The food and drinks here are very good and priced well. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, but the staff is what sets this place apart.

Clay and Florent run a tight ship, get to know their customers and keep a welcoming atmosphere. I am a woman who travels solo often and it is always important that I find "home bases" out in the world--places where I am known, can go when I need a safe respite, want info on what's good in town, etc... This is that spot in Nice.

So if you have a chance to go by, treat yourself to a mocha (Clay makes the best) and have a chat with the staff or other customers. You just may find kindred spirits and settle right in...

The bar is a nice place where the majority of clients are the students at Alliance Française. There is one of the employees that handles mainly coffee who is absolutely amazing. But I ate lunch and was served by the rudest waiter ever. It’s the only woman working there and honestly I don’t get how she got the job. She doesn’t have a notion of how to handle hospitality and neither basic manners. She tries to act more polite when it comes to adults but she absolutely has 0 respect for younger people. I don’t understand these type of people, if you don’t like to interact/serve people just don’t get a job that concerns serving. Absolutely...

Dish were quite fresh and tasty(we ordered burger, French fries and club sandwich)and the staffs were very kind and friendly.

It was first day for my family in Nice and we got into here with no pre information just because my daughter wanted to have sandwiche and the menu said they have it. This little restaurant gave us very good first impression about whole Southern France. It has very lively, young, and kind vibe. We were about to start going on a trip around Provence area.
