Paëlla Chez Mireille [a must read] So to begin our dinner we got a pitcher of Sangria. It was handmade but was pretty average. You really can’t beat Spanish sangria so not really surprised at all for its averageness. So next this restaurant serves portions for Morbidly Obese people. Seriously huge, you order one plate of paëlla and 4 people could eat it and be full. So upon arrival we had realized how ridiculously huge their portion sizes were, so we asked the head chef if we could order just one plate of paëlla for 4, he agreed to the order. So if you order one paëlla dish it is 22 a head and usually the portion size for one plate is 2 servings. Anyways after ordering we drank the total of our sangria and we also got some bread and tasty paste for the bread before receiving our dinner. It took a total of 1 and a half hours to receive our food.... super frustrating especially after ordering a smaller meal for our table since we didn’t want to waste the food. Really I would say 40% of the food made is thrown away, which is complete sad and unfortunate. So we received our food and I was pretty disappointed especially after reading so many positive reviews. I was disappointed because it took so long to make (1.5 hours), the rice was crunchy.. so under done, and they gave us the wrong dish... there are only 2 courses on the menu.. 50% you can get it right and they got ours wrong... how can you do that? Anyway we ate it because it was already 9:40 and we arrived around 8... so we finished our dish in its entirety, so that was great because we did not contribute to the grandiose amount of food waste of this restaurant. Lastly, we asked for the check and for some reason caused a huge ruckus amongst the chef, waiter, and manager. The manager felt bad for making us wait so long, but then the waiter stormed out of the building and slammed the door and the chef was clearly unhappy... we sat at our table for an extra 15 minutes waiting for our check until finally the angry waiter came back in and delivered our check and the total was pretty much what we expected 58 roughly.. I was a tad disappointed because of the poor quality of food and the long wait but we paid it and left. I am sure it’s actually a good restaurant but I really didn’t appreciate how they handled our situation and didn’t give us some type of compensation for our wait and unsatisfying meal. I also wouldn’t go...
Read moreThis was my last meal in Nice, and it was truly unforgettable. The restaurant specializes in paella, and you can tell they cook with love — not just to run a business, but with real passion.
The seafood paella was absolutely incredible — the best I’ve had, and honestly the best meal I had in Nice. It was packed with flavor but not salty or oily at all (which I really appreciate, since I don’t like greasy food). The portion of seafood was generous. While the shrimp wasn’t cooked from live shrimp, it was still totally fine. The octopus was amazing, and the chorizo added the perfect touch.
The seafood spaghetti was also excellent. The homemade tomato sauce had such a unique flavor — something you won’t find in any other restaurant. The pasta was cooked just right — not too soft, not too firm — same for the rice in the paella.
Another huge plus: the prices are very reasonable — only €30 for the paella and €25 for the spaghetti. That’s hard to find in Nice, where most seafood places are overpriced for lower quality.
You can really taste the love in every dish. This isn’t just another restaurant — it’s one where they care deeply about what they serve.
The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
We also tried their crème brûlée, and it was delicious — smooth, creamy, and had that perfect caramelized top.

The paella was cooked to perfection, with each bite revealing a symphony of flavors that transported us straight to the heart of Spanish cuisine. The portions were incredibly generous, ensuring that we left the restaurant fully satisfied.
Despite being the only waitress on duty, our server managed to maintain a cheerful demeanor and provided quick and efficient service throughout our meal. Her friendliness and professionalism added to the overall positive experience. She also offered us espresso.
For a delightful meal for two, we paid 72€, which we found to be very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable...
