Very mediocre place. First it was not that clean which is A when it comes to restaurants. Has some transparent plastic covers as enclosure of the terrace which you can't almost see through due to the dirt on them. Waiter was doing his best being all alone but still. Took 20mn just for the water to arrive. So definitely understaffed. We had 2 dishes both being cooked badly. The Cordon blue was overcooked and dry as the Sahara desert and the fresh pasta was undercooked being as hard as carrots. Taste is subjective but being able to cook something properly isn't. Supposedly there is a professional chef in the kitchen right? Quite dissapointing experience and we will not be going back again. Inexcusable for Mauro Collagreco, the 3 Michelin Star chef, that owns this restaurant, who obviously is overwhelmed with all his projects or plain bad choices of people running this one.

We made the reservation beginning of May and were initially offered one of the worst tables in the restaurant as all the 'nice view' tables were taken. And then the waiting game started. We waited 15 mins for our orders to be taken. Then 15 minutes for water to arrive. Then 10 more minutes for the starters to arrive. One starter was forgotten and bread arrived 5 minutes after the starters. Then we waited 15 minutes for a second bottle of water. And we waited 15 more minutes for the main courses. Then we waited 10 minutes for the third bottle of water. Then we waited 15 minutes for the dessert card. While eating desserts, also the best food items from the kitchen this day, we enjoyed the nice view of tables waiting for getting cleared. Now we know why waiters are called waiters...

Hace muchos anos fuimos a almorzar al restaurante Mirazur que esta frente a el que fuimos ayer y conocemos la excelente y increible cocina de Mauro Colagreco. Con mi esposa mi hija y nuestro perrito fuimos a cenar en este maravilloso restaurante parrilla de carne cocina tipica argentina y francesa ubicado en la ciudad de Menton pegado a la frontera con Italia. Este restaurante tiene mesas internas y en la terraza con una maravillosa vista sobre el mar. Nos sentamos en una mesa bien preparada pedimos sidra brut y como entradas comimos empanadas de carne y queso con una salsa llamada “Llajya”. Como segundos pedimos dos filetes de ternera (onglet de boeuf) con purè de patatas abundantes ricos la mejor carne que comi en mi vida y un ojo de bife tambien sabroso delicioso. Todos estos platos parecian como una obra de Picasso la perfeccion total!! Como dulces un flan con dulce de leche (mi gran passion) y 2 frutas con helados ricos!! Todo el personal como Sebastian muy amable acogedor sonriente competente cordial y el servicio atento y rapido. Precios justos para la calidad de la carne!! Many years ago we went to lunch at the Mirazur restaurant, which is opposite the one we went to yesterday and we got to know the excellent and incredible cuisine of Mauro Colagreco. With my wife, daughter and our dog we went to dinner at this wonderful meat grill restaurant with typical Argentine and French cuisine located in the city of Menton next to the border with Italy. This restaurant has tables inside and on the terrace with a wonderful view of the sea. We sat at a well-prepared table, ordered cider brut and as starters we ate meat and cheese empanadas with a sauce called “Llajya”. As main courses we ordered two beef fillets (onglet de boeuf) with rich mashed potatoes, the best meat I have ever eaten in my life and a steak eye that was also tasty and delicious. All these dishes looked like a work by Picasso, total perfection!! As sweets, a flan with dulce de leche (my great passion) and 2 fruits with delicious ice cream!! All the staff like Sebastian, very friendly, welcoming, smiling, competent, cordial and attentive and fast service. Fair prices for the quality of the meat!!

Presentata come miglior brasserie della zona, e consigliata da uno dei loro ex dipendenti, si è rivelata di fatto una grande e onerosa delusione. All’entrata l’accoglienza è gentile e la vista di Mentone dalla vetrata rapisce l’animo è indubbiamente unica, il legno che arreda scalda molto l’ambiente e vedere la brace e il legname da una calda sensazione. Purtroppo la bella atmosfera finisce qui. Il tavolo che ci viene assegnato ha vista palo della verranda, inoltre è piccolo, scomodo e i camerieri non riescono a poggiare i piatti da noi ordinati per la mancanza di spazio. Le sedie sono inizialmente abbastanza comode, ma dopo mezz’ora si nota la mancanza dei braccioli che hanno agli altri tavoli. Iniziamo il pasto con due entrate, cetrioli e Cecina che si riveleranno essere la parte migliore del pasto, molto fini i sapori delle verdure e l’affettato ha una piacevole affumicatura. Ordiniamo come pietanza principale la costata, con cottura al sangue anche su consiglio del primo cameriere, al contempo si prende un vino della Valle del Rodano il Cornas, preferito rispetto agli argentini, su consiglio del cameriere sempre. Il vino era ottimo, peccato il millesimo fosse diverso rispetto a quello in carta. Mentre apprezziamo il vino, ci viene presentata la tagliata, durante il taglio pareva leggermente troppo cotta, chiediamo alla ragazza che ce la sta impiattando e non sa cosa risponderci. Ne assaggiamo due Bocconi, e notiamo si tratti davvero di una cottura media, e la qualità del piatto atteso non è li. La caduta di stile da voragine nel pavimento, è quando lo facciamo notare al primo cameriere, e prontamente mi risponde: “eh si in effetti è un po’ troppo cotta — mangia quella in centro che è un trancio meno cotto” a quella frase li sarebbe stato da alzarsi e andare via, e lasciare la bistecca da 140€ alla mercé e al palato di chi ci lavora. Abbiamo ad ogni modo terminato la cena chiedendo delle patatine extra poiché erano la cosa più sfiziosa della portata principale, che nonostante questa gaffe stratosferica, ci sono state fatturate in aggiunta alla già onerosa e mediocre Cote che era stata servita. Al di là cottura sbagliata, vino sbagliato errori grossolani non abbiamo trovato nulla di davvero soddisfacente in questa cena, la qualità della carne non è quella di un ristorante argentino, ne di uno di Fiorentina, è semplicemente nella media. Il pasto è finito con due coppe di champagne e un dessert, a detta di chi lo ha servito il ‘fleuve’ da noi mai sentito prima d’ora, e probabilmente non è mai esistito se non a fantasia di chi ci lavora, sullo scontrino scopriamo si trattasse del Bereches et fils di grazia…. Scontrino da 315€, con tanto di errori della sala e la cucina e patatine extra tutti presenti anche in fattura. Prima e ultima volta...

Malgré le cadre agréable et la réputation du lieu, notre expérience à Casa Fuego a été globalement décevante.

Dès notre arrivée à 20h45, nous avons été installés à côté des toilettes, dont la porte restait régulièrement ouverte. C’est franchement désagréable d’avoir une vue directe sur les WC à chaque passage de client, surtout dans un restaurant de ce standing. Nous avons ensuite attendu jusqu’à 21h20 (35 minutes) pour recevoir la carte, sans excuse ni attention particulière. Lors de la prise de commande, la serveuse nous informe que la cuisine ferme dans 20 minutes… alors que nous avions déjà attendu plus de 30 minutes pour les menus. Une remarque mal placée, qui donnait l’impression d’être mis sous pression.

Les plats arrivent à 21h45. Les tortellini à la mozzarella (22 €) sont très peu copieux, avec une cuisson inégale entre les pièces. Nous demandons du parmesan : on nous répond qu’il n’y en a pas. Cinq minutes plus tard, une autre serveuse revient pour demander qui en voulait… mais tout le monde a déjà terminé. Un ami demande deux fois du pain, ce qui agace manifestement la serveuse, qui souffle bruyamment.

Pour le dessert, un ami commande une mousse au chocolat. Après 20 minutes sans nouvelle, une femme probablement responsable ou manager, postée à l’accueil revient vers notre table pour demander si quelqu’un souhaite un dessert. Quand mon ami lui dit qu’il a déjà commandé une mousse au chocolat, elle lui répond par une blague déplacée : “Tu l’as commandée avant de venir au resto ?”. Nous lui faisons remarquer qu’il attend depuis 20 minutes. À ce moment-là, la serveuse revient à son tour et affirme qu’elle avait bien transmis la commande au cuisinier, mais attendait simplement que tout le monde ait terminé pour la servir. Elle prétend aussi l’avoir précisé à mon ami, ce qui est faux. Il lui répond d’ailleurs que personne d’autre que lui ne prenait de dessert, et qu’elle ne lui a jamais rien dit.

Finalement, la mousse arrive, déposée sans un mot, poussée sèchement sur la table avec un petit “vai” en italien, comme pour clore le service sans chaleur ni égard.

Pour ne rien arranger, l’eau pétillante était à peine gazeuse et le vin avait pas bon goût.

Bref, une soirée marquée par l’attente, l’agacement, les maladresses et l’impression d’être traités avec condescendance. Dommage, car le lieu est charmant et la promesse initiale était belle. Mais à ce niveau de prix et de notoriété, le service devrait être à la hauteur. Ce ne fut...
