Chicken N Chicken (Halal) — Restaurant in Nice

Forget KFC. Chicken ‘n’ Chicken is Fricken’ GOOD!

Go on admit it, sometimes you gotta do it. Sometimes we just want to gorge that forbidden “fruit” and revel in a fast food experience now and nothing else will do.

Well that was me.

Peeved off my Mc Donald’s & KFC with their impersonal doom scrolling screens I wanted something more personal.

From the get go Chicken N Chicken greeted me with a polite Bonjour and a smile and I thought, that’s me entirely. I ordered the cheeseburger meal deal a steal at €6.90 and changed the drink to a Fanta (interesting fun fact: more gay men order Fanta rather than Coca Cola, (everyday is a school day).

The food arrived fresh friendly and was exactly what I wanted. Look it’s not a star Michelin food by no means, but when you’re so so tired of impersonal mainstream sloth that stink of the great unwashed who’ve trapped through them on a 33 degree Nice summer day, then relax.

This place is local, full of engaged locals and a good simple place to “do” fast food 1990’s style with a smile, some bland style and a place to chill in fast food local nirvana. Go! It’ll crave your fast food itch, not your doom...

The outside appearance & sitting area is very eye catching and appealing. Readily identifiable as HALAL (hallal or halaal). The inside is clean, appealing and very large. The menu items look very good. I went with the Chicken Royal, fries and can drink. One single fried chicken leg is 1.90 euro. The service was very slow but food finally arrived. The french fries looked delicious and were hot. I picked one up and bite into it and tasted fish. I waited and tried again still a fishy taste. The Chicken Royale gives the impression of a large chicken fillet. It's two (2) small chicken strips with a gap between them. The potato pancake I guess covers up the lack of three strips. Oh and they sell fish sandwiches. The wifi didn't work and the toilets were out of...

I visited this taco shop and it was an amazing experience! The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and lively, perfect for spending an evening with friends. A special thank you to the waiters: extremely friendly, always smiling, and genuinely attentive.
