Randomly found this place and it was fabulous - one of the top 10 meals I have ever had Got the following: Foie: 5 stars, can never go wrong with this especially to start Sea bass: 5 stars, beautiful broth, not a single bone, good sized portion Pluma pork: 5 stars, loved everything about this plate - the plums, the celery root puree, the sauce, and the pork was so tender and flavorful Apricot clafutis: 4 stars, great way to end the meal Loved that it is a husband/wife place. Tiny restaurant with lots of locals. Would fly across the world to watch here again

Le mercredi 19 février, j’ai eu le plaisir de vivre une expérience gastronomique inoubliable au Bistrot des Docks. Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil chaleureux de Sophia nous a immédiatement mis dans une ambiance conviviale et raffinée. La soirée était organisée autour d’un dîner accord met-vin, et chaque détail était pensé pour sublimer le repas. Le Chef Nicolas a démontré toute son expertise en nous proposant un plat de Saint-Pierre d'une finesse remarquable, suivi d’un pigeon préparé avec une maîtrise culinaire exceptionnelle. Chaque bouchée était une invitation au voyage, mêlant subtilité et saveurs parfaitement équilibrées. Un grand merci à Benjamin pour son choix judicieux des vins, qui a su accompagner à merveille chaque plat et rehausser l’expérience culinaire. En somme, le Bistrot des Docks offre une soirée empreinte de qualité, tant par la créativité de ses mets que par la passion et le professionnalisme de toute son équipe. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui souhaitent vivre un moment d’exception.

Bonjour! I am so sorry that it has taken me two months to write this review! I visited Le Bistro des Docks on 24th September and was SO impressed with their food! Really savourous mixture of flavour and generous portion. I was so impressed! Their plat du jour is the most amazing deal I saw in Nice! IL FAUT FAIRE LA RÉSERVATION for the Plat du jour !!!! We didn't and so we ordered something else on the Mains. We had: Pot au feu de Cabillaud Belle côté de cochon fermière Cremeux au chocolat et poire Clafoutis aux fisues The fish and the sides were SO lovely and the pork had a really special aroma / taste to it you just know it was definitely from some good farm. I was already stuffed and so tried to ask for a smaller portion for the dessert. The staff insisted to give the full size - AND she was right!! I finished it all! The staff there were super friendly - they learned that we are from China and the chef came out and said Hi and took a picture with me. Unfortunately a few minutes after I left the restaurant my wallet got pickpocketed near the tram station down the road from the restaurant. The chef was so kind he tried to help me look for the wallet beyond their closing time (they close at 2pm and reopens later for dinner!).

This is a truly special place Nicolas and Sophia have created. I was staying nearby on a solo trip and decided to see if they had an open table for dinner.

I was warmly greeted by Sophia. It’s an intimate space and there were several other diners, including families, enjoying their meals. She found me a seat immediately.

My French is basic at best and, when she noticed I was translating the menu with my phone, she stopped everything she was doing to walk me through the menu items. It was so incredibly kind.

I ended up ordering the duck breast and I can say - hands down, without a doubt - the best meal I had during my week and a half in Nice. The thought and talent put into each dish exceeded every expectation, and Chef Nicolas took a moment to stop by the table as well.

I also walked away from that evening with new friends - a French and American couple who had also helped with translating. We ended up sharing a digestif and had the opportunity to meet up again before I left for lunch.

Maybe this happens all the time in Nice, but it was a wonderful experience and is a reflection of warmth...

We were recommended this lovely restaurant by a local food guide - and thank goodness she did. This lovely restaurant was such a hidden gem in the heart of Libération, full of local people. (Such a nice change from the bustling area near the main strip in Nice).

The host was lovely, and took her time explaining in English all the items on the menu. Between our party of four, we had the crevettes, a lovely egg dish, pork and Veal. We all then finished the meal off with a peach dessert - it was so fresh it hadn’t even made it to the menu! The food was absolutely incredible and some of the best we had ever eaten.

We were really made to feel at home at this restaurant, and even chatted to some locals on the next table to us.
