Maison Jin — Restaurant in Nice

I visited this restaurant when i was passing by Nice cos I really wanted to eat Korean food so bad after over a month i’ve been traveling to France. I know this is not “korean” restaurant and also i already checked some of reviews so i didn’t expect much but the food photos in a reviews looked pretty nice! So i had Tteokbokki, Kimbap(beef), Bibimbap. First Tteokbokki was not too bad but way tooo salty as the other ppl said in a reviews! I’ve never had this kind of salty tteokbokki in my life and even in the other countries. I drank two bottle of water while i having tteokbokki. Even my bf is French but he said too salty as well. I hope they need change recipe of it a bit. and Kimbap was too big to put in a mouth and also the rice was no taste at all so we dipped in ttoekbokki sauce. Kimbap is usually eaten in one bite, so they have to cut it into the right size. Compared to other kimbap photos in a reviews, the size of the kimbap I ordered looks much bigger. It was a bit hard to eat. Lastly bibimbap was not too bad but not enough gochujang sauce. So if u want more sauce just ask to get more sauce to staff. the poke bowl was terrible, the rice wasn’t even properly cooked and hard, the cucumber was tasteless and stale, the avocado was watery, brown and not tasteful at all. only good thing was the mediocre salmon and weirdly coloured edamame beans, the only sauce they offer is soy sauce which also sucks, it’d be nice if they had stuff like teriyaki sauce. Also, i wish they would give us actual cutlery and glasses. The atmosphere and service is nice, it’s a shame the food is such awful quality cause they could do so much more with a cute restaurant like this, and it’s clear they lack staff since there’s only 2 people, and as far as i know of no actual fresh food being cooked. ps. please make sure your bathroom floors aren’t sticky and just your bathroom more...

Came in because we really missed Asian food - and this place did not disappoint !!

I got the Katsu Curry and it was sooo good, just what I needed on a cold day. The poulet pané was SO TASTY it had so much flavor and was so moist - there was also so much rice !! This was such a good big portion it was crazy. I loved it, but if the curry were a little stronger it'd be even better.

My friend got the Brochettes de Gambas and the Boite de Sushi M - she loved both and had no complaints.

I definitely rec !! Really convenient location, right across the Station. And the hours are great !!! No closing halfway through the day like most...
