What a wonderful place to eat and relax all year round. This is not the place to go if you are on a diet as all the food is too delicious. The cakes are so beautiful it seems a shame to eat them but they are hard to resist! The bread is freshly baked daily on the premises by the chef patron. His wife runs the front of house in a relaxed but professional way. All of the front of house staff speak English and are delightful. The carpaccio is beautifully prepared and OMG so delicious that I had to go back for more. There is something for everyone, salads, burgers and pasta and lots of French fare to excite. Read moreI had a pleasant brunch here on market day. However, the service was truly terrible. The restaurant was almost empty. One waitress walked past us 5 or 6 times without looking at us or acknowledging us, despite having nothing else to do. Eventually, after waiting 15 minutes to be acknowledged, I had to interrupt her conversation with a colleague to tell her we had been waiting 15 minutes! Friends had arrived 10 minutes after us and had been served first. No apology, no personal interaction, barely spoke, no personality or warmth. Read moreHad a really good, inexpensive lunch here. One of the tastiest cassoulets I've had in ages. My wife enjoyed her salmon. The wine was cheap and good. Tiramisu was fine. Try the olive bread... it's lovely. This place is a much better choice than several of the other local restaurants.
Update five years later: went back. Had a cassoulet. Just as good as it ever was and still one of the best choices...
