Ble Sucre — Restaurant in Paris

Cute cafe in Bastille area. I went to try the tart tatin as it’s supposed to be good, but they were sold out by 6pm. Instead, we tried the madeleines, and honestly it wasn’t so good. A pack of 4 = €4. Good price.

They glazed the madeleines with frosted sugar and I did not enjoy them at all. I think it ruined the madeleines, which were very moist and could have been good.

Interesting to see people posting that they have the “best” croissant in Paris... you should only trust this if they have an award posted on the outside from competition or city (not newspaper clippings or blog posts) which I did not see. Most croissants in Paris are solid, it’s France after all.

Overall ambience of place was a bit sad at the time we went (after 6) as they shut off some lights. Very quiet. Usually the best Boulangeries will still have queues until they...

Popped up as one of the seven best places to buy croissants at in Paris so we went for it.

It was easily found by the crowd of people who were already queuing up in front of it- in the queue quite a few “locals” which always is a good sign. Unfortunately the butter croissants were already finished during our first visit, which only made us come back a second time to try them :) I have to admit this was probably the tastiest croissant I have eaten so far! Would recommend this place to anyone who is after great French pastries and of course especially croissants 🥐

Both times we ended up buying a whole “bag of goods” for our breakfast , which we enjoyed in the little park just across the street together with a freshly brewed cappuccino.
