Our local bistro. As I have written before on other review sites this is one of the best burgers in Paris. I live in the neighbourhood but am from the States. When the burger nostalgia hits me - this is the place to be! Why? Because the owner of the place is a burger aficionado. He is constantly going to seminars to improve his burger skills. I am NOT KIDDING. So what makes this burger so special? Firstly LOVE. The attention that is put into the preparation. The start with basically a "tartare" which is a raw beef dish that also one can eat here. Superior quality meat. Then bread made especially for the bistro at a local bakery. Then fresh veggies and their "secret cheese sauce". As we live close by we tracked down the bakery and bought all the same ingredients at the local market. But no way to compete with professionals. Our version was light years from these burger virtuosi. And did I mention how nice the staff are. No matter what day or time always smiles and hello and whatever. So this is the BURGER PLACE TO BE.

My family and I enjoyed the food so much we went twice in 24 hours while we were visiting France on vacation. We went for dinner on 11/29 and lunch on 11/30 and ordered different items, all incredibly delicious and pretty quick service. We liked how busy it was and still were taken care of even though we were from the United States. We speak decent French and ordered without a problem. I wish we could have tried the mussels or the boeuf bourguignon, however, they were all sold out by the time we ordered. The food we did order was *chefs kiss* and our children finished their plates then tried to eat our food! Before lunch this afternoon, we visited Sacre Coeur and were going to eat in Montmartre but the kids wanted to go back and have lunch at Le Chat Bossu!! All in all, if you’re in the area I would highly recommend this place! Very delicious and authentic French cuisine and so thankful that we were able to experience it before we left.

Ah Paris! City of lights, long walks & this delightful snug restaurant in the 11th r. If you’re reading my other reviews on our European trip, you’ll know we had some specific experiences we were chasing, and once again we made a great choice. Small, intimate, great decor (including a bare wall which looked to be showing original paintwork) the staff were wonderfully accommodating of 2 OzBrits with faltering French. We had simple straightforward meals (assorted charcuterie, then ham & creamy pasta; onion soup then duck confit) but they tasted divine & were exactly what we needed after 2 days of tramping around Paris! Lovely building, staff & food.

Horrible service, meh food and likely A COVID SPREADER.

On being seated by our waitress, in seats way too close to be socially distanced, we were not asked for our Covid passes to prove we’d had two vaccines. Other patrons offered their ones but the waitress waved them off with “no, I don’t need to see it”. This was the same waitress who was running around without a mask the majority of the time, putting it on just before serving a table.

After we were seated we were provided with menus that we were presumably expected to eat as a starter due to how long we had to wait to be served. In actuality the only reason we were served was because we flagged down another waitress to take our order. We did this as our previous waitress had ran from the restaurant to the bakery to buy bread.

Soon after our bread wielding waitress returned we got our starters very quickly with a resounding “meh”: lots of clearly tinned stuff with nice bread, salad with a nice dressing. I guess the run to the bakery was worth it. At that point we sat for about 30 minutes for mains, no one came by to ask if we wanted more drinks, then we got out mains. Again, meh, potentially tainted by the long wait our combined opinion was we’d made better versions of the same dishes at home in less time. We also heard certain patrons getting their orders bounced 2 or 3 times due to the place running out of things.

On asking for the bill we were again given a long wait to the point where we asked twice to give the waitress our money.

It seemed very odd there were only two waitresses on staff for a busy night, seems like an issue with the management as opposed to individual staff. Needless to say will not be...
