Food/drink: Mediocre food, expensive compared to the local area and nearby Asian/African restaurants provide better food for half the price

Ambience: Seems unsure if it's a casual American diner or a restaurant, for me it doesn't quite achieve either. It feels like it's not been very well thought out and I get the impression that it's more about profit than about the activity itself, because it lacks care and attention to detail... certainly it's very alien to the rest of the area and I'd be surprised if the owners are local

They have rather a lot of signs up complaining about people reading/using their laptops which I found odd. "This is not a bibliotechque". I'd never noticed people using laptops there but I love to see people reading and writing, and I think they're wrong in their assessment that it creates bad ambience. I wondered if it's more about getting people out of the door quickly to make a higher profit, but also it's rarely very full

Positives: The staff are friendly. The block it's situated in is fantastic, I love the open air around it. But the space could be much better used in my opinion, which is why it doesn't change my rating. I'd like to replace it with something else, maybe a co-operative :-)
