This is literally a no frills hotel experience, so it's best to go in with realistic expectations so as to avoid disappointment.
There is no air conditioning available in the hotel, despite it being advertised as such on Expedia and other websites. Instead, you'll either have to get a floor fan from the reception to cool down your room or sleep with the window open. I don't recommend the latter, as the hotel is right on a busy road and traffic doesn't seem to die down any hour of the day (or night) so you'll be left even more exhausted by the time you wake up.
On the plus side, however, the hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms are actually quite comfortable, if a little sparse. Don't expect a fridge, kettle or any of the other normal amenities you might find in your room at other hotels. But it is worth emphasising that this is one very clean hotel and the staff ought to be commended for it. Although the hotel is not really centrally located, it is very close to the Stalingrad station that will take you direct to the Arc de Triomphe and then the other Parisian sights are a leisurely walk away.
All in all, if you book with your eyes open for what you're going to get for your money, this isn't a bad...
Read moreThe hotel is real value for money. The rooms are big enough, clean, and from the window, you get a view of the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur. The location is good in terms of a metro station, which is no more than 5 minutes away. There is a supermarket and a burger joint 1 minute away. However, if you are a solo female traveller, you will need to take caution when walking from the metro in the evening. To be aware, there are drug users around, and in the evening, you only see men. Although the likelihood of an incident occurring is probably small, I didn't feel at ease walking around in the evening. One morning at 9 in the supermarket, there was a woman who was intoxicated and rowdy, and the shopkeepers (both big built men) could not move her out. This is an example of things you may see. With the very little time you will spend in the accommodation, the hotel is still very good in terms of getting around town and connection to the metro (and 30 min walk...
Read moreDo yourself a favour and don’t book this hotel. The location is absolutely horrific and honestly made us feel so unsafe! ||It calls itself a ‘hotel’ but you get directed down an alley to an outdoor courtyard where the dark, cold and dingy ‘apartments’ are located. It states on the website that their rooms are sound proof and oh my word could this be any more untrue!! We were kept awake all night long with noise from the other apartments and people smoking in the courtyard and then very early in the morning whilst the staff were preparing for breakfast. ||The breakfast is €9 per person which is robbery as it’s the most basic breakfast ever. ||Toilet didn’t flush properly and shower ran cold. ||We wanted to leave almost immediately after seeing our room but it was late so we endured the first night and checkout first thing in the morning to which we were declined a refund for the rest...
