We went to this place on 3-Jan for dinner. My wife and me are foodies and we love to try/explore different places especially Indian Restaurants to find hidden gem.
AMBIENCE: We went to the place called TRACK 119 in 11th district of Paris. With outside temperature of -1, we expected the place to be cozy but to our horror, it was super cold. TRACK 119 hosts 3 restaurants including Deb’s Indian Restaurant, a Bar and a Mexican. The chairs were uncomfortable. Overall setting was not that great to be honest. So, net-net we finished our dinner in 45 min and ran outside.
Food: We tried almost everything on the menu from starter section. We tried Tandoori Chicken which was awesome, juicy and tasty. We did try Chat Items and they were okay. The fried items were smelly. We believe it was the oil. Indian Bread (Garlic Nan and plain nan) were awesome. Choke Kulcha was bland and lacked taste. The Community Cola (French version of Coca Cola) at the bar was awesome.
Service: The place is self-service but 2 options to order viz. either order and pay via qrcode or visit bar and order from there and carry a buzzer. Not a place for me. I love to have a cozy setting where there is a proper service and ambient temperature.
Staff: Owner and Chef were just amazing. Very warm, polite and welcoming. It is because of them that I can giving the place a 3-star rating.
Value for money: No.
Conclusion: As I always say, everyone has a different taste palette and hence one should always try the place to take their own experience. As for me, I won’t be planning to revisit this place...
Read moreI’m writing this review after contacting the team through Instagram, but unfortunately, they didn’t seem to care. I came here last year and really enjoyed the food, so I decided to come back with nine of my friends to celebrate a birthday and a farewell. We visited last Tuesday and ordered almost everything on the menu but sadly, every dish was disappointing. The butter chicken was the worst: the sauce was extremely salty, and the chicken wasn’t marinated at all, it had no flavor. There were only two small pieces of chicken with skin and bones wings, barely any meat. It was so bad we didn’t even eat it. Most of the dishes were overly salty, super oily and overall it was the worst Indian food experience I’ve had in Paris, which makes me really sad to say, especially after having such a good impression last year. When I reached out on Instagram, instead of an apology or any interest in my feedback, I was told that we’re the only ones who complain. That kind of response is very unprofessional. This is not a small business anymore , you collaborate with influencers and invest in marketing, which means the quality of food and professionalism in communication should reflect...
Read moreDisappointing Experience, Doesn’t Match the Hype. Not at all worth the money and not close to the marketed authenticity. As we planned this party for the farewell of a friend and to keep the mood light, we didn't argue with the staff.
The photos posted online and the actual food we got were completely different.
Samosa Chaat: This was nowhere close to any good samosa chaat I’ve had even in Paris. The chole seemed to have been made from the same sauce used in paneer or chicken curries (come on guys!). There was barely any mint chutney or yogurt, two essentials for a proper samosa chaat.
Vada Pav: Served without mint chutney inside, and no chutney on the side either.
Mutter Paneer: Way too sweet, while the other dishes were overly salty, clearly no consistency in seasoning.
Kulfi: So hard it could double as a rock. Not enjoyable at all.
Instead of giving witty replies to people’s feedback, the restaurant should focus on improving the food quality. Presentation and humor don’t make up...
