Duke — Restaurant in Paris

On our way to the gym we came by this small restaurant. It looked so nice and lovely from the outside, so we decided to eat dinner here after we finished our sport. We both made some bad food experiences while our stay in Paris but this one was great. When we entered the restaurant, it looked even lovelier than from the outside. It’s a small restaurant but with so much love in the detail. It were only us and another women there, so it wasn’t busy at all. What was great for us but a little sad for the restaurant. Anyway, we both ordered the “Dukes classic bacon Burger” and shared some mozzarella sticks, and it tasted so good. To be honest, this food made my day. The service was great, the people were so so nice and it was such a comfy place to be. We enjoyed it so much and decided to come back on New Year’s Eve. Btw: the dip for the mozzarella sticks...

We were staying in the area and everyday, morning and night, we would see a crowd at this place. So on our last evening in Paris, we decided to go there for a drink. We had to wait for a table outside. And once we sat down for one drink, we ended having more drinks and some food. What a great vibe and service this place has! All the people working here are so friendly and efficient (and speak good English). I get it now why there was a crowd. Great place to catch up with friends or just enjoy a drink by yourself or with someone. Nice...

Camminando per Parigi, ci siamo fermati in questo bel locale per prendere due vins chaud da asporto. Normalmente non faccio recensioni di posti in cui non mangio, ma in questo caso mi sento obbligata a sottolineare quanto accaduto: dopo 10 minuti in cui ero in piedi davanti al banco ed in cui avevo già chiesto due volte a due persone differenti se potevo ordinare quanto sopra descritto, il barista ha deciso di prestarmi attenzione solo quando ho esclamato in italiano che nessuno mi stava badando. Il ragazzo, evidentemente italiano, ha quindi deciso di rispondermi e di chiedermi cosa volessi. I due vins chiaud ordinati sono consistiti in due bicchierini di carta, riempiti a metà, con vino rosso di bottiglia scaldato alla lancia della macchina del caffè, in cui dopo è stata buttata una fetta di arancia e uno stecchino di cannella. Quando è stato il momento di pagare, nonostante nel listino prezzi fosse scritto 4,50€ per un bicchiere, mi stavano facendo pagare di più, perciò ho dovuto far notare il dettaglio al proprietario del locale che venendo che mi ero accorta “dell’errore” mi ha fatto pagare 9€.
